I finished it

      It was a big night. Or... it was supposed to be a big night. Not for me, but for my parents. A business deal was in the works, a big one. Our whole family was invited to some ritzy dinner party. The kind of party where women wear red lipstick, Gucci heels, sip champagne, and smile as if they’ve got it all together... And there I was walking the streets all alone. I guess they call it contemplation and reflection... that was what I was doing.

     My eyes reached the big green sign that read ‘15th Street.’ I was wandering around aimlessly, but I knew where I was. I had been there before. Literally, this whole life merry-go-round. I had been there and done it before.... Parents move to a new place, stay for a few months, try to revive their stale business ideas, make connections, fail, talk about moving elsewhere, give it another shot, accept a business deal that requires them to move elsewhere... again.
