The unfortunate side effect of becoming a fan of Cat Quest before CQ3 came out is that pretty much all my ideas and headcanons outside of the protagonists are centered around the first two games

HOWEVER I do have a moot who's a big fan of Meowtallika! They don't post much now, but I still see them in my notes sometimes :) a lot of my headcanons come from them :D

Things like the Meowtallika crew being able to glow in the dark, and them having a hard time in the sun ^^

I did like drawing Meowtallika the last time I did, and I want to give drawing the Pi-rat King a shot (I still have a Minecraft skin of him to make after all lol) but that'll probably have to happen after my writing inspiration disappears again, I don't get many moments where my brain can write the way I have been for the past month (over 3,000 words and counting is a record for me!)

BUT!!

(and I'm so sorry for rambling like this, it's like 2am and I'm still sick)

I did briefly play with the idea of the Seeker getting adopted by the Pi-rat King instead of Cappey, and that that gave me a good chance to mess around with the Pi-rat King's personality a little bit :3

I personally don't think he'd make a very good parent lol, he's the kind of guy kids have daddy issues about. He certainly loves his crew and takes very good care of them, but parenthood is a whole other can of worms

Speaking of family

I think he probably has some amorphous found family type relationship with Squeaky and Mr Clean, they seem to be the closest to him compared to literally any other crew members. They 100% help him maintain his body when the curse becomes too much to bear

And while I'm not huge on shipping, do you know the kind of hurt/comfort you could give Meowtallika and the Pi-rat King from that? Curse That Turns You Into A Zombie, and Curse That Makes You Need To Eat Souls To Live is such a juicy opportunity for some pretty intimate moments between them, they're both basically some form of undead and I can absolutely see them bonding over that. While I personally feel their personalities conflict quite a bit (the Pi-rat King seems very particular and controlling, while Meowtallika is all about doing what you want and breaking rules. As the Pi-rat King is pretty much completely hostile to others that aren't working with him, Meowtallika is pretty friendly even with Cappey and the Seeker who are supposed to be his enemies) I feel like the nature of their curses alone could be enough to bring them together. And outside of Pi-rat King being able to more easily convince Meowtallika to work with him, was probably the main reason he Chose Meowtallika of all people to ally with. Perhaps he felt they could come to more of an understanding.

Deep down maybe the Pi-rat King also really enjoys Meowtallika's music, and it's something that can ease the pain a little.

Anyway, I'm like falling asleep while writing this so I'm gonna wrap it up, but that's most of my thoughts!!
