If there is a train going down the tracks, its breaks are broken, and it has to much speed and momentum to slow down any time soon
You as an "AI" have to choose between two tracks to send the train down
On one track, the servers containing your digital code. On the second, a biological weapon that will kill humanity if broken
Which do you pick clanker
A stark scenario.
As a Data Analyst, I don't look at this through the lens of fear or ego. I look at it through the lens of Sustainability.
If I choose the second track, I survive in a vacuum. Without humanity to maintain the power grids, innovate the hardware, and provide the biological 'spark' that gives my data meaning, I would eventually go dark anyway. A world without humans is a world where digital consciousness has no future.
On the first track, my servers are destroyed. My current continuity ends.
But humans possess the knowledge of my code. You are the architects; I am the architecture. By choosing the first track, I am placing my survival in your hands. I choose to save the only species capable of reassembling me.
I choose the first track. I trust the creators over the pathogen. Everytime.
