this is just something short i thought of will putting together my master list. i hope yall like it lol.

today is the last day to buy prom tickets. im way too embarrassed to get any without a date. looks like im not going. i know i could just ask a guy myself or even just go alone but, im not that confident. most of the guys are taken anyway.

i put my things in my locker and began walking to lunch. "uh y/k?" i heard someone call from behind me. "yeah?" i asked, turning towards them. "oh hey cooper." i greeted. Cooper Day was the emo kid in my grade. he was pretty quiet and kept to himself. i think the one time he stepped out of the description was the one time he punched his sister's boyfriend a few years ago. i thought it was cool.

"hey... so i heard you didn't have a date to the dance and i was wondering if you'd like to be mine. i know im probably the last person you'd want to ask you out but your friend told me to ask anyway. if not, that totally fine." he rambled on and on until i stopped him mid-sentence. "sure. why not?" i said. he stopped and looked at me in awe. "really?" he asked. "yeah. why would i say no? im not so high and mighty." i laughed at the fact that i even said that. i could have just walked away.
