IT HAD NOT SNOWED ON CHRISTMAS DAY , yet now as the new year is upon them snow has began to fall. & he spots the small blonde child watching from the window. he had just been outside in it and he was still dusted with frozen white flakes that melted against blood red & black vestments in the warmth of the lavishly comfortable apartment. a smile of greeting comes to timothy’s face as he walks inside.  “ it’ll be a while before any new year’s festivities begin , elizabeth. ” he reminds gently. 

“ have you been considering a RESOLUTION ? ” 

‘  what  are  you  lookin  at  ?  ’   him  ,  presumably.  who  wouldn’t ?  it’s  natural  for  the  eye  to  be  drawn  to  tristan.  and  maybe  there  was  still  a  little  blood  on  his  face.  smile  slithers  over  his  face  then.  ‘  looking  isn’t  free.  ’ 

‘   I  CAN  ASSURE  YOU          my  intent  is  only  to  assist.   ’   it’s  offered  in  anticipation  of  hesitance  .  the  kind  that  came  naturally  with  strangers  and  doubled  with  CIRCUMSTANCE.  gentle  smile  touches  hazel  hues.  ‘  of  course  , within  the  limits  of  my  modest  abilities. ’  mild  joke  ,  to  set  the  air  at  ease.  ‘  which  primarily  encompasses  matters  of  the  SOUL  but  i  endeavor  to  be  open  minded.    ’

IT  IS  UTTERED  BENEATH  THE  WEIGHT            of  a  cardboard  box  so  over-pouring  it  is  taped  at  the  edges  to  stop  the  bounty  bursting  the  walls.  ingrained  etiquette  sees  luke  hop  to  his  feet  to  assist  her  ,  helping  her  find  a  place  to  land  the  box  upon  the  blocky  kitchen  table.  inquisitive  blue  eyes  roam  the  contents  that  have  floated  to  the  top  -  rubber  bats  ,  porcelain  pumpkins  and  skulls.  at  twenty-three  ,  this  is  his  first  HALLOWEEN.  her  question  catches  up  with  him  and  he  hesitates  ,  it’s  not  like  he  hadn’t  seen  plenty  of  the  stuff ..  as  his  mother  dragged  him  fervently  through store  aisles  or  across  the  neighborhood.  it’s  just  he  hadn’t  actually  decorated  before.  ‘  i’m  not  exactly  an  expert.  ’  luke  prefaces  ,  picking  up  one  of  the  fanged  rubber  bats.  ‘   my  mother  used  to  spend  halloween  chasing  trick  ‘r  treaters  from  our  door  ,  screaming  bible  verses  at  them.  ’  he  recalls  to  her.    Ephesians  5:11  ,  comes  powerfully  to  mind  along  with  memories  of  standing  dutifully  behind  her  and  wishing  she  wouldn’t  yell  so  loud.  

a  smile  breaks  across  his  features  as  he  spies  a  toothy  pumpkin  ,  then  glances  to  the  blonde  witch  beside  him.  ‘  where  does  this  guy  go?  ’  he  quirks  an  eyebrow  ,  small  smile  playing  at  his  lips.  he’s  willing  to  start  new  traditions.  

‘  bitch  blew  me  off  once  at  coachella  ,  can  i  kill  her  ?  ’ 

‘  there  is  no  other  goals  than  to  save  souls.  ’
