هنرمند کره جنوبی، آن جان، از مجموعه خود Self-Portrait» (13-2008)» به عنوان «نوعی اجرای بدون تماشاگر» یاد می کند. تصاویر شدیدا روان‌شناختی، هنرمند را به‌طور پر مخاطره ای، گاهی نشسته و گاهی ایستاده روی لبه‌های پشت بام‌ها بر فراز آسمان‌خراش‌های مختلف در زادگاهش سئول، به تصویر می‌کشند. (more…)

Ahn Jun‘s series ‘One Life’ – “investigating the relationship between performance and photography, surreality within a real world made by beauty of coincidence”

In her unphotoshopped photos resembling paintings, the artist wanted to capture imaginary situations “as if your everyday lives stopped temporarily and the gravity disappeared for a moment.”  She explained her choice of apple as a symbol with multiple meanings. “Sometime it means the Newton’s apple and sometime it means the fruit of knowledge, and so on… In reality, if you throw an apple, it will fall … I wanted to express the law of nature or the apple transcending its destiny after it was thrown away.”

9/18參加赤々舎展的講座，介紹韓國藝術家安晙新出版的攝影集，以及自己做作品的動機和理念。 安晙提到自己屬於內向的人，拍攝過程和照片呈現出來的心境相反，顯現自由奔放的一面。我也不是外向的人，無論是攝影人像或是被攝，我都對鏡頭感到不自在，所以對自拍的原因及想要表達的訊息感到好奇。

在此紀錄一下當時提出的問題，以下回答有額外加上我自己的註解：

(1)攝影集內安晙無論在何時何地都穿著一樣的藍色連身裙，是有什麼意涵嗎? A：self-portrait顧名思義是指自拍，眼前景色是無盡的未來、腳下是現在、背後是過去，自我在思考的同時，「我」也可以是人類中的任何一人，為了體現整個現況，不希望穿著像是T-shirt、牛仔褲或高跟鞋等會聯想到特定文化、年齡層的服裝，如果可以的話，裸體是最能符合核心理念，但在畫面來說有可能會模糊焦點，所以選擇連身裙遮住基本私密部位，以表現nameless body的概念。

(2)雖然系列作品命名為self-portrait，但大部分畫面中幾乎難以辨識人物的臉孔，為何刻意去除可辨識個人身分的部分? A：同樣想呈現nameless body的意涵，對作者來說，作品雖然沒有完整露出臉，但畫面中的手、腳就代表她自己。
