Solidarity with the heroes in green masks in Thessaloniki
Members of the fire brigades in Thessaloniki in Greece lined up their vehicles outside the designated hospital AHEPA tonight, turned emergency lights and horns on and started to applaud the doctors and the nursing staff fighting the coronavirus. The impressive gratitude went on and on until doctors and nurses came out and applauded the firefighters.
“We are here to offer moral support to medical and nursing staff. It is the least we can do to give them strength until we overcome this crisis, “said Spyros Varsamis, head of the Fire Brigade/Northern Greece.
“It was our proposal to give moral support to all these heroes with masks, to these people who give their best,” said the president of the Central Macedonian Firefighters’ Union, Ioannis Ioannidis.
