Not that Lucius would much appreciaite a gift from her, she was sure, after their interesting converation around the board of governers. It was possible she could've been more subtle about her opnions. But she did have a funny sort of fondness for Narcissa, and... Well, Sybill just got the feeling that a lot of people around her had an agenda, and perhaps she could just be a nice, casual friend.

Showing up to their house might be a bit odd, but Sybill didn't want to wait to bump into her, so she'd knocked on the door with her gift bundled under one arm. It was a collection of things; some crystals she thought good for encouraging a balanced and happy marriage, a pouch of a rosy herbal tea blend she'd purchased in Spain, a smudge stick she'd pulled together from things finally growing in her windowledge garden, and a few candles, with runes for love, protection, and peace carved into the wax. It was all wrapped with care in a length of soft, sheer black silk.

"Hello!" She said brightly when Narcissa came to the door, "sorry, if I've disturbed you I won't hang around, but I wanted to bring you a wedding gfit- late, I know, but they say it's better than never don't they?"

Sybill couldn’t think about it right now, anyway, because her head felt like it had been stuffed full of sand and her limbs weren’t fairing much better. But she was missing another day of work, so she had to do something, and why not focus on potions that might make her feel better? She normally only brewed outside, but she wasn’t sure all the pollen would help her condition right now so she’d set up shop in the living room instead, bleary eyed and curled up on her sofa as she stirred and added ingredients.

Normally, she got some sort of a sense about someone at the door and could open it before they knocked, but today she was halfway to dozing off, and the sound of knuckles rapping against wood jolted her back awake.

They knocked again, like they’d been waiting a while, and Sybill gathered herself together to answer the door. “Edith?” She squinted against the daylight, half guessing. “You can’t come in. I’m sick.”

“Vareena!” Sybill hadn’t seen her since that day at the apothecary. Since she’d come in for what had turned into quite a delicate reading. But she saw her now, across the way in another tent, and started running towards her. “You’re here!” After Thorfin- acting for ‘concerned parties’- had told her she’d gone missing after the Halloween carnival, Sybill had been worried sick, watching for her everywhere, in her minds eye and out on the streets. Once she’d crossed the field there was no stopping her wrapping Vareena in a big hug, even if it was a perhaps a bit over familiar. “You’re safe, oh gosh.” It was also maybe because she felt a bit guilty. Going missing so soon after her reading? How had Sybill not seen it? “I’m so sorry, I’m so glad you’re okay!” 

“Excuse me?” Adelaide asked. “Sorry, you told them what?”

“Hey! You can’t just sneak up on me when I’m in the zone.” Lexi exclaimed. “What if I’d, I dunno, punched you in the face or something?“

Lexi didn’t know what it had been, the fun cocktails, or the copious amounts of glitter, but something about the Singles Night had reignited her love of Acid Nightclub. She hadn’t been here so often since she was fresh out of school, and it hadn’t changed a bit. And that included navigating around handsy couples just to get to a drink. She couldn’t get annoyed, it was nothing she hadn’t done herself, but she maintained that she was still allowed to be mildly inconvenienced.
