He has a habit of completely ignoring canon, and the last time we let him write 10 and Rose together, we got that piece-of-absolute-mischaracterization called Girl in the Fireplace. He had Rose,Defender of Earth, sit around and wait for the Doctor (something his females seem to do a lot of), and the Doctor leaving Rose in a dangerous situation.
