NEVER TRUST FUCKING CRITICS!
DONT LISTEN TO THE CRITICS! FORM YOUR OWN OPINION!!!
WHEN THE GODFATHER FIRST RELEASED ROTTEN TOMATOES SAID IT WAS TRASH TOO!!!!!!!!!!!
My biggest pet peeve right now is being stopped in the middle of the hallway by a parent who wants to berate (read: use me as a verbal punching bag) me for--le gasp--the fact that they have to wait in the emergency department to be seen and it's "taking too long"? (Our average time to be seen by a physician from the time you walk through the door has actually been around an hour; this is pretty great considering during that hour you're being triaged, seen by your bedside nurse, etc.)
Um, yes, how about you NOT stop me from doing my job so I can do my job in a timely manner? Maybe if I didn't spend so much time placating parents that can't seem to wait an hour to be seen (even though our nursing staff have already gone in to do vitals, administer initial medications, or even start investigations) for their child's less-/non-urgent complaint, I'd be able to get to said complaint in a reasonable amount of time?
(The other unfortunate thing is that then whenever I see a parent hovering by their child's room door my instinct is to STEER CLEAR. I don't actually, though I sometimes just walk a little faster so I can maybe get to where I need to go. I still get anxious that there are definitely parents with concerns that their child is deteriorating and I don't want to miss that because I'm trying to maintain department flow/see the most urgent kids in priority order... the nurses keep telling me I'm overreacting and that parents and patients are all instructed on how to use the call bell so it shouldn't be an issue but I can't help but feel nervous!!)
I empathize with the fact that it has been difficult to see primary care providers and community practitioners, and you're an anxious parent, but seriously, when did emergency department = immediacy department-because-I-want-to-be-seen-right-now? I don't know if you've noticed, but we're also in the middle of a pandemic so generally speaking this does NOT mean that we can see you faster??
And... I know that I constantly harp on this, but why aren't my male colleagues being stopped in the hallway nearly as often as I am??
the person who sits in front of me in geom is so cuteeee
jade's gonna release her deluxe album and im still stuck with the animation😵💫

If I get too giddy thinking about a man I adore I won’t be able to sleep

You are the poetry I look for in the stars, in the skies, and the details of the mountain ranges. You have been the start of my sentences, and the last. You make me feel like I exist not only because you open up my eyes to the world, but also because you open up my heart to what I've been missing all along. You are the lullaby that gets stuck in my head, the pain that I get to feel so deeply. You are the combination of what my mind can't fully organize, you are the question mark, the twilight, the song I can never recall the lyrics to. You are the smile that stops me on my tracks if I think of killing of myself, you remind me I am alive. You are the circumstance of my life, and there has never been a greater gift and a curse in knowing that you are the bravest, most fearless part of me, yet you are also the most fragile. You are the beating to my heart that once thought it was dead. You are the present to my today, and the future to my infinite dreams. You are the poetry, I looked for. And found.
—You are my poetry
