OH. pacing is when you DONT keep acting as if you're in baseline after doing something you've realized triggers PEM.
reading this podcast : "So if you have a 72-hour lag between what you just did or what you did, and how you’re going to feel, you have 72 hours to really do a lot more." <- About how post-exertional symptom exacerbation (PEM) is often delayed.
an interesting side-effect of severe PEM
Post Exertion Malaise forces my body into a lethargic state - I need to rest, calm and quiet with my eye closed. (boring)
So today I took it outside to sit awhile - and apparently all the critters will assume I am a statue? a wren landed on my leg; noticed it was attached to a person, shit on me and flew away scolding. A squirrel walked so close that it tickled my elbow with its tail as it passed from behind me. And the yearling deer (thief!) that has been eating my veggy garden nearly stepped on me on its way for another snack.
All of these encounters resulted in mutual startlement - and left me feeling vaguely insulted. Often I do Not Wish to be Perceived; however, that does not mean I wish to be roughed up by a rude ruminant!

Got out of the gym in twenty minutes when i have been able to go for twice or thrice as long before.
And i feel extremely fatigued now . I guess I'm being punished by the exercise intolerance???

I feel like restringing an acoustic guitar induces a special kind of PEM. Just pure abject misery. And I hardly even play it anymore, even on good days, because the intonation is garbage from years of being unable to afford a setup + it's probably warped to hell from when I was homeless.
Is this going to be the turning point? May Allah guide me to whats best.
I'm having a crash but I didn't even do that much (that's a lie)
