There had been no red eyes to wake her up in the middle of the night, sleepwalking that had been a trait passed down from her father had seemed to cease, and all from the work of brave Jack and dear sweet Dr. Van Helsing.

Merritt guarantees to make Dylan laugh at least twice a day. Whether it’s a dry or witty remark Merritt makes about someone, or Merritt’s general distaste for something, it never fails to cause at least a chuckle to escape from Dylan’s lips.

Dylan met the President of the United States after receiving recognition from helping solve a particularly tricky case that the FBI had been dealing with for years.

After all of the events that Dylan had inadvertently caused her to go through, Dylan trusts Alma with the secret of the Horsemen and his own reasoning on why certain organizations and people were targeted. Alma has said nothing since.

👿 …someone my muse used to like, but doesn’t anymore.

There was one particular agent that Dylan had flirted with during his time training for the FBI, but they moved their separate ways. He hasn’t thought about her since.

💩 …someone my muse dislikes, but admires.

Ever since the events that had changed her life and had uprooted her from the comforting monotony of her life, FBI agents had come and gone, asking her questions on the Ripper or searching for her husband in want to be made mention in his coming novel. She’d now felt that she could identify them, even while undercover, just by the way they walked and held themselves.

She could be wrong, but if he didn’t look like an agent, may God knock her out with a bolt of lightning.

Jedi had never worked with the FBI on a case before, but clearly her boss thought it was time to bring them in on the case. Jedi couldn't agree more. Considering the amount of pressure that was now on them because of the string of high profile murders and all on the city officials?

For some reason, this case just couldn’t be cracked. The killer was a smart one; they barely left any traces except for the bullet that they used to kill the officials. There wasn’t any other lead other than the bullets being from the same gun, but that was it. There was no telling who the next target was going to be because they didn’t give any clues when it came to that. It was frustrating. There was absolutely nothing to go on.

It also meant that a lot of pressure was starting to fall on Jedi and her team to solve this. Sitting at her desk in the bullpen, Jedi put together the file for the FBI man. Glancing over to her team, she could already sense the tension in the air. Clearly they didn’t appreciate the FBI being brought in on the case. She didn’t understand that animosity at all, if the man helped solve the case and stop more casualties?

Yay, they’re cute when not headbutting you.

Those dark brown eyes remain as empty as always, void from any sort of revealing expression.   Ivy  Grimes  has played this part so  many times, it’s almost second nature to settle into a persona that isn’t her own.   The only giveaway lies in the fact that she must rid herself,   unintentionally,   of  the  nervous composure she always  supports  in order to acquire this confidence -- it’s hard to fake an emotion that’s always prominent,  so  she sheds it like snake skin. Arms cross over her chest, a deep inhale following suit.
