Ezekiel Stane, for all intents and purposes, does not exist.
There is no record, no document, no file, no data that might ever suggest Obadiah Stane had a son.
In many ways, this is how Zeke was raised - as a walking, talking ghost held at arms length out of concern that he, like his mother, might be defective.
Non-disclosure agreements and less than subtle threats kept a throng of tutors, nannies, and professionals in line. Expense was, of course, no concern, and he provided him with whatever a child might need or want, though his own presence was sporadic, at best.
Zeke remained secluded, and though Obadiah doesn’t necessarily approve of the results of social isolation, it was a far preferable outcome to Zeke’s existence ever being revealed by a child with too big a mouth.
As Zeke has gotten older, Obadiah became more involved, trusting only himself to make sure Zeke developed in the way that he wanted.
Obadiah has developed some resentment toward Zeke, given that Zeke’s technology is the only thing keeping him alive - albeit in a relative amount of discomfort, but he’s also found Zeke to be incredibly useful (he is still alive, at least).
Ultimately, he's spent Zeke’s entire life manipulating him and everything around him, and continues to do so for his own benefit.
