LORELEO
I ASSUME YOU MEAN LORELEI, LOL
character: hate them | donât really care | like them | LOVE them | THEY ARE MY PRECIOUS
ship with: Xallius, duh (tho I was kinda excited when I saw she and Perseus get together to for a little bit) (unless I dreamed that?)
brotp: evEN THOUGH they havenât really interacted, Zorig + Lorelei.Â
general opinions: Honestly, I love Lorelei a lot and I love seeing anything about her on my dash. Sheâs so interesting and brash and just great. Â I really really loved drawing her the few times I have xD
+ Perseus, do you believe that you can be happy?
âLorelei,â Perseus murmured, his gaze slowly rising to meet her own, a silent entreaty to be understood held within his eyes. âI do not deserve happiness, even were the gods to make the mistake of gifting it to me.â
As he outstretched his hand to wrap his fingers loosely around her own, the man brushed his thumb against the base of the drakenâs palm. âBut you need not worry for me. The Crimson and the Blades provide me enough happiness, more than perhaps I deserve, and I shall serve both loyally with my life. You are a true friend for asking. For some reason beyond my understanding, you always seem to believe in me. For that, I give you my thanks.â
dear guildleader :3c
Dear Miss Blackclaw,
My humblest apologies for not informing you of this information prior, but a former member of the military contacted me in search of information on the Blades. Â He wished to make an investment in your organization, and he sought my advice on whether the Blades were worthy of such an honor. Â I believe you have already encountered him by this juncture in time, yet our conversation last night caused me to recall that I had yet to inform you of what occurred.
In all good truth, I informed the man that you pour your heart into leading the Blades. Â You toil tirelessly to ensure the well being of each of our members, and without fail you ensure our missions are completed to ultimate satisfaction. Â Never do you allow an ill word to be spoken of the Bladesâ good name. I informed the man that I have every amount of faith in your abilities to guide the Blades to greater heights. Â Regardless of the many words we exchanged last night, I stand by these opinions.
I know that you must feel alone after all that has happened, but I know that you will pull through, and do so marvelously. Â I am certain the Blades will thrive under your leadership, and I shall be there every step of the way.
Sincerely,Cpt Perseus Ford
dear guildleader :3c
Lori,
We donât really get a chance to talk much. I donât know why. Iâm not sure if you just donât care for me, or because you were always off with-
(the remainder of the sentence is scribbled out with pen, as if the writer had thought better of it)
I know youâve had concerns about me, and my personal issues coming into the Blades. Theyâve been dealt with. The charges have been dropped for a month now, the inquiry closed, even given a full pardon. The Settlement Authority offered to give me my old job back.
I turned it down.
Iâm not going to lie, I didnât think a whole lot of you when I first met you. You seemed a bit spacy, immature, and really hard to take seriously, but youâve proved me wrong at every turn. Iâm glad for that. You offered me someplace safe to run to when everything was going to hell, when you had no reason to, and I canât thank you enough.
Thereâs nowhere else Iâd rather be than here.
I know things are bad right now, but I donât hold any of whatâs happened against you. I know you think itâs your fault, but itâs not. Donât let your doubts get the better of you. Despite what you may think, youâre a good leader.
Because you care.
No matter what happens next, Iâm with you, Lori. To the bitter end. Remember that.
~ Sinclair

A Brief Respite - Lorelei and Perseus
ooc; Closed rp with agent-lex.
As Perseus slipped through the bar entrance, the man took a moment to stand beside the door frame, his hands brushing rainwater from the rough fabric of his outer coat. His lips curled in a frown as he repeated the process with his sleeves. The man lifted his hands to fold down his hood, before he touched his hair to make certain the gel had survived the torrential rain outside. A short sigh escaped him as Perseus finished meticulously fixing his appearance, before he shrugged off his coat. His gaze sought the solace of the warmly burning fireplace, small tendrils of smoke rising in misty clumps from its shifting embers. One of the patrons tended it, poking the wooden kindling around, while others clustered around it for warmth. Flickering firelight brightened the nearby tables, each clustered with too many patrons to add another.
Perseus strode over to stand beside the bar counter. As the draken bartender lifted his head to glance at Perseus, his hands stilled, one rag still inside the glass he cleaned. Perseus tapped his fingers once against the wooden bar counter, and the bartender swiftly turned his gaze from Perseus's creaseless military uniform. "If you please, gin would be quite appreciated."
The bartender gave a short nod. "And tonic?" he asked. After Perseus affirmed his question, the draken bustled about fetching the necessary bottles and glasses. Perseus felt his gaze begin to wander, his attention sliding between the bar's other patrons, each one faceless in the dim lighting. For a moment Perseus hesitated, his eyes drawn to a familiar silhouette. He barely heard the bartender scrape his finished glass across the wooden counter toward him.
"Miss Blackclaw?" Before he had the foresight to realize he might not wish to draw attention to his presence, Perseus found himself asking the woman's name. Ingrained within him were years of military practices, his hand immediately rising in a formal salute to his employer, the leader of the Blades. Perseus swept his hand back against the counter as he fetched his glass. A short drink sent a familiar burning through him, some solace to the lethargy that weighed down his shoulders. Perseus closed the distance between them swiftly, his strides coming to a stop once he reached the place where Lorelei sat. He turned his attention to the draken woman. "Although I wish not to impose upon you, might you be in search of some conversation this evening? Little have I had the opportunity to speak with you outside of our guild meetings, and less still outside of the headquarters. It would be pleasant to rectify that situation."
PUCKER UP PERSEUS AND LORELEI
ooc; I rolled 49. Sad Kiss for this one.  So I went off the theme of the recent guild plot hints!
Early in the morning, a worried call from Senyc had roused Perseus from his nap behind his desk. The man had scrambled to answer it, before he ordered all of his lieutenants to forward their reports to his datachron instead of his desk at the fort. By the early afternoon, all hell had broken loose across the Shezkaâs Blade headquarters.
"Bring him back alive," Lorelei had snarled at them. "Any cost. Whatever sacrifices you have to make, make them. Thatâs a damn order."
Their leader had stood bravely before them, not a single tear in her eyes, as she grit out the Bladesâ foremost orders: to find Xallius Novitreus, regardless of the cost, and to bring the mechari back to her unharmed. After she dismissed the others, she pointed a crooked finger toward Perseus and demanded that he stay behind to talk with her. Only then did her brave facade falter, her emotions breaking past her rage.
"Youâre a captain in the fucking Legion," she snapped, though her words wavered, their cadence shattered into jagged pieces. "Youâve got whole platoons you can just order about. Why canât you spare just one to track down that jackass who took Xallius from me?"
"Certainly protocolââ
"Protocol, my ass." Lorelei grasped the front of his uniform, her fingers twisting until the clinging shirt tore painfully against his shoulders. Her green eyes glittered in the dim light, her unshed tears making her gaze seem unfocused and glassy. "You will do whatever it takes, you hear me? Weâre all going all in on this. Everybodyâs got to pitch in."
As she continued to speak, a growl built in the base of her throat. Her fingers shook, her rage and grief so fierce she could hardly contain it. Perseus cleared his throat once, just to stop her lecturing, before he inclined his head forward in a gesture of deference. âMiss Blackclaw, I understand your concern.â The man gently wrapped his fingers behind the womanâs neck, his fingers threading through her hair, the strands soft against his skin. Slowly, after meeting her gaze for several moments, he pressed his mouth against her forehead in a warm kiss. Her eyes softened, as did her hold on his shirt, and her mouth began tightening as she fought to maintain her hash resolve. âI shall speak with my superiors to see what might be done.â
A sharp exhale escaped the draken woman. Her voice broke as she grumbled, âItâs all my fault, anyway. I shouldnât have let himââ
"Valadox," the word tasted sharp on his tongue, the syllables harsh and sour with distaste, "is to blame for what has happened. And we shall save Xallius, before we kill the one who took him from you. I promise, Lorelei."
