Fried mochi, isobe style! Which means it’s wrapped in nori seaweed (磯辺 isobe means seaside). This came from OK Supermarket, which isn’t usually where we get wagashi type things, but it was really fresh and delicious!!! No wonder that place is always so crowded.

Trying a couple of flavored mochi snacks. I really dig the texture and the different flavors I've found so far, here comes one more addiction to the list...

Agemochi is a popular snack made from fried mochi broken into bite-sized pieces and then puffed. It is usually eaten lightly salted but there are also many flavors available. Sometimes they are sold as actual deep fried rice cakes.
