I read a fic awhile ago that had a big theme of "you need to talk/get consent" from Stiles to Derek. Because he'd use his wolfy senses to find out if Stiles was DTF/into what he was doing instead of just asking. Hale family was alive, hidden werewolves, I remember Stiles visits their fancy apartment or something... I really loved how the chars were written, but I've been unable to find it. Help!

I’d just like to drop a quick happy birthday note to aftersong before midnight hits. We used to be as close as siblings back in our Ragnarok Online days, but since we both quit playing and lost a few other shared interests, we’ve drifted apart quite a bit, and I haven’t spoken to him in many months.
I know that if I messaged him right now, we could talk as if no time had passed at all, but I feel a bit sheepish not having said hello in so long. Our interests might not still be on the same page, but our spirits are. We saw each other through some tough times, and he’ll always come to mind when I think of my short list of favorite people.
