Excuses, Excuses, Excuses. Many don't want solutions. They only want to talk about problems. We’ve given our excuses so much of our time, love, and energy, and in return they’ve given us nothing. Don’t you think it’s time to divorce our excuses? 🤷🏾♀️ Do we have a whole system working against us. Yes. But what we gone do about it? The essence of being Black in America is making something out of nothing, our ancestors were masters at it. We say we’re so great because we are Black (Original) people, but then we say we can’t do what others are doing because THEY won’t allow us to? I thought we were kings and queens, gods even? But we operate within what white supremacy has deemed permissible for us? I don’t know what kind of cloth some of y’all cut from, but I’m a “can’t nobody stop me” “get it out the mud” kind of person. I understand some people want to be lifelong victims, using their powerful Blackness as an excuse for why they won’t even attempt to succeed. The scripture does say “the poor you shall have with you always”. I mean, if that’s how you want to get down, what I look like getting in the way of God’s plan for your life?
