Favorite character:

This is actually really hard because like!!! All of them are written at least decently well and everybody has something going for them and I really like them all ;-;

I suppose it’s between hunk, pidge, and lance?

Lance is amazingly mature for his character archetype and I LOVE how balanced they made him, Pidge has such a good chara arc of learning to balance personal needs with helping with the needs of others, and Hunk has a heart that listens to his brain and I love his mix of compassion and logic.

idk i love them all a lot ;-;

Least Favorite character:

I don’t think I have one??? I mean of the main supporting and antagonist cast like,, everyone has their place in the narrative and I don’t actively hate anyone, they’re all good

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):

Shallura’s super nice, Allura and Shiro respect each other a lot and i have a lot of feelings about Battle Couples

also lance/hunk like,,, have u considered soft lance/hunk?? a good time

Character I find most attractive:

Shiro 

he’s literally soft space dad aesthetic and I love that about him, he’s just soft and loving and here to help everyone

Probably Hunk? He’s a good balance of emotion and logic and I feel like we could be really chill together

a random thought:

This series perfectly balanced an intense, emotional plot with cheese and fun characters and I just?? really appreciate that like?? i was worried during part I was supposed to be worried about in the story but I wasnt stressed or fearful at any point and I appreciate that, that I could be invested but not stressed out. I really need that rn at this point in my life

An unpopular opinion:

I feel like,,,,,,,,, we need to be careful with shiro angst because like,,, he’s a disabled character of color and in fiction disabled people of color are one of the biggest targets of narrative violence and being tragic inspiration porn for other charas and like,,,, idk with people speculating that shiro might die in s2 it makes me nervous

shiro is a positive disabled character in fiction and it makes me very uncomfortable to see this trend of fanart and meta that seems to be focused on making him suffer

but then again i have a lot of icky feelings surrounding the culture of angst so like,, i might just be overreacting 

my canon OTP:

Shay/Hunk was given such a healthy start that I’d love for it to be romantic! Like, friends or datemates i feel like they’d be good for each other and they respect each other on every level and that’s really what we need to aim for in narrative pairings/romance

Non-canon OTP:

I suppose Shallura? Tho I wouldn’t mind if it became canon like, I feel like Voltron has set up everyone’s relationships to be healthy and supporting and Allura and Shiro could help each other move forward

most badass character:

Shiro!! I feel like Voltron is honestly the healthiest way for him to move forward given his experiences and that he’s just,,, really strong like gosh shiro’s so good

also allura i mean, her entire civilaztion’s gone and she’s still chugging

not to say either of these two wouldn’t be badass if they weren’t coping well but I want to acknowledge that they’re both dealing with a lot and i’m so proud!!!

pairing I am not a fan of:

anything involving shiro and the paladins

he’s been an adult clearly from the beginning and even if he was 18 most of the age gaps are still a bit large??????

also anything involving pidge like come on stop being gross what the fuck

character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):

I’m a little uncomfortable with Hunk and the food jokes?? It calmed down after the first ep but like,,,, I feel like a healthier balance needs to be found where hunk can be acknowledged as being extremely intelligent and level-headed and still liking food?? to where it’s not a comedic part of his character archetype?? It’s not a stereotype I’m really familiar with to know how to subvert but I know it can be done and that Hunk deserves to be recognized as more multi-dimensional

that and lance and hunk,,, lance cares a lot about hunk and hunk cares a lot about lance like,,, u can see how ease they are with each other and i just eat that up that’s so cute
