Im deathly afraid of bees, like i freak out like a 4 year old if I suspect a bee is anywhere near me.
The root of this phobia is that one time when I was 6-ish (4,5,6) I was at Sesame Place (real place, google it. Its like sesame street but real) and a giant carpenter bee flys 2 inches in front of my face. I don't freak out (I'm not afraid of bees yet). Rest of the day goes on. I go to sleep.
And then I dream about giant bees breaking into my house and hunting me down.
From that point forward I was terrified of bees.
It was irrational until I found out the being stung by a bee hurt super bad, not firsthand though.
TLDR: bee flys past face at young age, had bad dream, terrified of bees now

So today is day 1 of the Book A Day thing and it's Favorite Book from Childhood. This is a super tough question because there were SO many... I guess the main other than the obvious(which includes things like Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl) would be The Wish List by Eoin Colfer which is just an amazing, heartwrenching story. Other than that there's Why I'm Afraid of Bees by R.L. Stine which was my favorite of the Goosebumps series. Last but definitely not least there's The Divide by Elizabeth Kay which has got to be my all time favorite from childhood and what drew me into the Fantasy genre as a whole.
