Got myself a new medieval not-Lego Building, a Townhouse with a Printer's Workship on the Ground Floor :3
It's by the german Company Bluebrixx, who are renowned for their realistic and detailed medieval Buildings. I waited Months for the Release, as I'm very into late-medieval/early modern Printing and instantly loved the Design. It was pleasant to build and in my Eyes keeps up their high Standard for Building Techniques, while not being unneccessarily complicated. Unlike other Buildings of them here the indivudal Floors are not stacked on top of another, but instead the Building is constructed as an empty Case with Rails in the Walls and the Floors are then slid into them like Drawers. I actually like that Concept a lot, because it makes the Interior a lot more accessible, though the front Walls could be constructed a little more rigid, as they tend to partly come off when you slide in the Floor above and are not super careful.
I really love that little Printing Press [even though there is a really tiny Inaccuracy about it (which is not Scale-/Medium-related)]!
There is also a Bakery belonging to this new Series of a medieval Street, that can be attached on the Side, which I'll also get eventually as I like the Concept. Would be cool to have a somewhat long Street at some Point, but for now this one House fittingly lives in the Bookshelf hehe
Now I just hope they cater to my Obsession with the pre-modern Printing Industry and also release a Paper Mill and a Book Vendor to complete the Manufacturing Chain. Sounds a bit unrealistic on one Hand, but on the other - given what other obscure Buildings/Crafts they made the Topic of Sets - I guess anything is possible with them!
