4. Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?
I typed a lot here about the past few months feeling totally absent of inspiration, and how much of a personal challenge that's been in the face of my usual overflowing ideation, but it started to get really personal and I'm rather averse to using Tumblr like my personal diary under any circumstances... So!
There is beauty in life and nature and people and dirt and complexity and mundanity. I have found inspiration to write through writing (poems, stories, other fics) but also the works of other creatives, places I've been, sounds and feelings, the swell of emotion I feel in the awe of beautiful and terrifying experiences. I find that inspiration is everywhere, when you have the eyes to find it and pick it free from other things.
7. How do you choose which POV to write from?
Typically, the character whose rationale or "voice" I understand the least of the story I'm working on is the focal point of view I choose. Which is insanely silly and difficult and a bit Sisyphean. I find through the process of writing, I find their voice in the story.
