Hey guys! Once again, here is a very short preview for my upcoming one shot “The Pursuit of Happiness” starring @a-rae-of-sunshine‘s Happily Ever After AU and my Ink Gluttony AU. 

This scene is very short partly because it is close to the ending and I want to save the best bits as a secret, but I wanted to share because I tried to be funny and I wanted to reference the new Flipped AU that Rae made up where Sammy Lawrence and Henry Stein swap roles.

“What is all this?” Happy signed, confused. This was definitely not a room he was familiar with in the studio. Mirrors of all different shapes and sizes were scattered all over the walls, ceiling, and some were even floating in the air. After studying the mirrors and recognizing them, King sighed sadly as he averted his orange eyes. 

“This is my Mirror Room. One of my other sanctuaries. I think my... father and I made it.” As King explained, he went up to a couple of mirrors to see their reflections and smiled softly.

“These mirrors are like doors to other worlds and different times out there. Some of them ask what if questions like “What if Henry hadn’t left the studio?” and such. Others are like very different versions of us. Like this one for example!” He pointed to a medium-sized mirror with the words ‘Toon Henry’ engraved on top of the frame.

“This one has Henry become a Toon and one of us pull pranks on him!”

Happy gasped in wonder as he went closer to inspect the mirrors as well. 

“There’s one where there’s a whole lot of other Bendy’s. Each with their own perks about them! And here’s one where one of our toys comes to life as a ragdoll Toon!” King picked up a floating handheld mirror with the word ‘Stitched’ on it. He made a note to himself to see that mirror again when he had the chance, placing it in an area for later. 

Happy pointed to another mirror excitedly. “Look! Here’s one with Sammy and a banjo!”

“Really? I haven’t seen that one yet. Lemme see!” The orange-eyed Bendy rushed to this new mirror with a grin. The mirror was rather large with only the words ‘Flipped’ on it. King took one good look at this mirror. After a minute, his eyes widened, his face fell into a frown and he carefully moved Happy behind him. 

“Nope, nope, nope! Not this world. Off limits! Any other world except that one!” King insisted, grabbing the mirror with his bare hands and lifting it up high. Before he could throw it, however, he paused before poking his head into the mirror and exclaiming. 

“HEY, EATING IS MY SCHTICK, PAL! GET YER OWN QUIRK!”

There was a muffled roar coming from the mirror, followed by a cough. Eugh. Bad breath.

“Well, rooooooooooooooar to ya too!” With that, King pulled his head back in and threw the mirror as far as he could into the inky darkness of the ceiling. dusting his hands off as he muttered to himself. “Good for nothin’ entitled jerk, thinkin’ he’s hot stuff, why I oughta…”
