im trying to explain what hypermobility and ehlers danlos syndrome is to my mom and i said that if i have hEDS, i probably got it from her bc it's a genetic disorder. we were talking about it's symptoms, and somehow ended up mentioning how one of my cousin's got his joints dislocated very easily when he was growing up and she said that but YOU weren't like that, and i wasn't either! [nephew] got that from his dad which... made me go ??? and ask her to remind me who his dad is to you again? bc that's her BROTHER. my maternal uncle. 🤦🏻‍♀️
