Sparx is too clever! Maybe a different kind of toy?
Right! Haha. I’ll probably pick something up for him to play with next paycheck :P
I need more videos of Sparx playing with cat toys. They make me so happy!
Sadly Sparx got smart and realized that he can’t actually eat the cat toys, hahaha
Are you scared of wasps? I'm not scared if bees but wasps are the absolute devil and I will dead sprint to get away from them.
I am terrified of wasps as well o.o Same though I will flat out sprint away from anything that flies and has a stinger
I'm actually not too concerned about Eddie tearing down lights. He may just be the laziest snake in the world. He is perfect content being a lump all day. I'm pretty sure I can count all the times he's periscoped on one hand! 😅
Haha what a lazy little lump! Just wanted to be sure, cause the second I try to put anything in Thresh’s cage he knocks it down, haha

I was thinking of using something like fairy lights or LED rope since they won't get hot and they would fit pretty easily inside with a couple command hooks.
That may work! Just be aware that you might have to set them up every day, ball pythons will tear them down with their body weight :P But as I said, they need to be off at night. A timer from walmart would work great for that actually :)
I don't know why I can't get this stuff to work 😡 I have the thermostat set as high as it will go (108°) and when I have the probe on the heat tape itself it will go that high but the inside of the cage is sitting at 75°
I've tried putting the probe inside the tank too and It just won't get up to temp. Don't worry, my snake is still in his old set up, at proper temperatures._____________Ah your problem might actually be your ambient room temperature, for a heat mat or heat tape to properly heat a cage by itself, the room the cage is in needs to be at 75 degrees. If thats not possible you might need a second heating element, such as a radiant heat panel :)
So it won't actually reach the temperature I set the thermostat to?
So the way it works, is that I have the probe outside of the cage directly attached to the heat tape(if it is inside the cage the snake can move it and cause the heat tape to over heat). The plastic is thick so it takes a bit of heat to go through, so the reading inside the cage with be different than the reading on the thermostat. That’s why I usually recommend people get a temperature gun as well :)
