Oh my goodness, we would be here all DAY if I talked about all of my mermaid wips 🤣 I’ll pick out three to explain and then probably include a couple of images. (No snippets unfortunately.)

Summer/Flynn/Dillon mermaid AU (also known as “Sigh I forgot to update Slime Rancher 2 BUT! Mermaids”) — If you check in my intro post I have a little explanation for it but long story short: Flynn discovers he’s a merman, Summer is a mermaid that has fled an arranged marriage and Dillon is a fisherman trying to get by.

But there’s MORE! There are some shenanigans involving Flynn’s parents, Scott is trying to make sense of the fact one of his best friends is a merperson, Ziggy and Tenaya also end up as merpeople and both have different opinions on it (Ziggy HATES it but Tenaya thinks it’s the coolest thing ever), Dr. K is trying to get her work done, and Dillon accidentally catches Flynn and Summer in a net. It’s pretty silly but everyone is here to have a good time.

Other ships are of course: Scott/Gem, Dr. K/Ziggy and Gemma/Tenaya

Mermaid Charlotte AU (also known as “Charlotte becomes a mermaid AU”) — This is one of my more sort of ambitious but not really either projects. Prior to the beginning of season two, Charlotte receives a letter from her grandmother not long after she passes. It details of an entire different world that is so mystical and mysterious that Charlotte would perhaps grow to love it more than her grandmother ever did. So, Charlotte does as the letter instructs and becomes a mermaid.

The whole introductory thing is a comic I have planned but I have yet to make a start on drawing yet. Dealing with my mental health has made it hard to really sit down and work on anything. 😭

LU mermay series — What it says on the tin, the chain as merfolk! I never got to complete the third (and final) instalment of the series, but I’ve been making touch ups here and there.

I was just thinking of Vampire Hunters today actually!

This is supposed to be in the Labrynna arc, where the boys end up in Labrynna so that I can introduce more lore and have more vampires gawk at Warriors.

This one covers rogue vampires and the people who hunt them! Most vampires are peaceful and have no issues being around people and will kindly ask for blood if they're hungry. This is part of the peace between vampires and people. If vampires behave, people won't have any reason to hunt them.

Some vampires decide that peace isn't an option and do whatever they feel like doing. If this involves killing people, then vampire hunters are free to hunt them down and vampires won't object (and sometimes they might even help).

The premise is that the group runs into a pair of vampire hunters and once the realize that Warriors is a vampire that can withstand sunlight (via pointer dog), they ask for his help in hunting down a rogue vampire who always manages to get away before the sun rises. Warriors agrees because he's Warriors, he's going to help if he can. The others want to help but Warriors is going to make them sit out just because he doesn't want them to get hurt.

Honestly nothing has been fully done nor permanently set in stone just yet, but I’ve been thinking about ideas and playing around with concepts!

These are our main team of rangers (I will be picking this up again for painting/rendering once I’m on break for summer), but there are roughly three or four more to be added

The theme is fantasy with knights and stained glass as a design motif for the suits!

I don’t think you have! Although you have listened to me talk about it more than once xD

Timeloop fic my beloved… a chaotic mess that I am still trying to unravel and make sense of to this day. Definitely one of my most ambitious works that will probably take me a while before I am confident on posting it for sure.

So the general gist for those who do not know: To expand upon the Ranger technology to fight against Venjix’s bots when they start to unnervingly become stronger, Doctor K takes the Ranger’s abilities and upgrades them with additional powers. Which for Flynn and given what this fic is, he now has a recall ability that allows him to travel back in time in the midst of a battle if things go askew.

At first, things are fine. Everyone is alright and Flynn is wondering if maybe there wasn’t a need for the ability until Summer dies. Then he goes back when Scott dies. Rinse and repeat.

From then on Flynn is determined to do everything in his power to ensure that everyone survives the battle even if it impacts his own safety in the end of it all. Definitely one of my more rougher fics.

As for a snippet… do I even have anything? 😭 I tried to revamp the fic right from the beginning before the start of October of last year but I didn’t really make any notable progress… hmm… how about this?

Inhaling the crisp sea air through his nose, Flynn watches the waves lap back and forth with his eyes burning from exhaustion. His interest is dulled. Usually, the sea is a calming presence, yet the swirl of emotions in his gut is nothing but ever ending.

Guilt and grief are so intricately wrapped around his bones with a painfully tight compression that they might snap if he took another breath.
