You pretend to ignore their muffled whines when you rip your arms out of their grasp, massaging your sore arms to regain their circulation.

"Don't just kiss me out of nowhere! And don't keep up with it!" you scold with a flushed face. It takes a decent amount of courage to be even able to meet their eyes.

The crimson alter pouts with a cross of his arms, pointedly glaring at the Adeptus.

"I'm obviously the victor."

"I dare you to say it again-"

Xiao is already grasping your wrist but you wring it back, taking him by surprise as you take a step away.

"No. This game won't do you both any good, you hear me? So don't kiss me so suddenly!"

"But there has to be a clear winner," the alter complains, "Ah, unless..!"

He leans forward and Xiao takes this chance to step closer to you, mumbling his reason of 'keeping you safe'. You would have believed him if not for the embarrassed pink on his face.

The green-eyed clone grins.

"Unless you'll be the one to decide the winner! Quick, decide it with a kiss!"

His face is smacked away when Xiao, still red-faced, growls. "Quiet. You have no shame, as if she'll kiss you."

Your palm meets your face in a loud 'slap'!

If even the original Xiao tolerates this childish game then it must be the end of the world. Who knows that he'll get this riled up by his own clone!?

"Hurry, Adeptus [Name]!" the alter's beaming smile throws you out of your daze.

You just realize that they are both staring intently.

"Choose your winner! Kiss one!"

"Xiao?" you question, throwing a helpless look towards the Yaksha only to see him covering half of his burning face.

".. Choose." he mumbles—and oh, you think you're seconds away from ascending.
