Rand could feel her weak but determined knocking against his spine. The wood felt heavy and sturdy leaning against it and yet it trembled with @aecedai's voice anyway. He hated locking people out and her in particular, but the longer he watched those smoldering threads sliver across his arms, the harder he pushed back against the door. Every time he tried pushing it back, the itching returned with twice the force. There was no end to this, he would succumb to madness sooner or later. The only thing that mattered was that he would make it to the Last Battle, wasn’t it?
AGAIN, MOIRAINE KNOCKED. OPEN THE DOOR FOR ME.
Rand rolled his head against the cold wood. “ Please leave. ” He could hear the echo of Selene’s voice telling him how stupid he was for wanting to be alone when he shouldn’t be. But he saw nothing positive in opening the door, not when he couldn’t control what was pulsing inside of him. “ I’m no longer the boy you met in Two Rivers, Aes Sedai. This isn’t a good time. ”
