I’ve been *very* remiss in Christmas posting this year—especially since we’ve had our tree & the rest of our decorations up since just after Thanksgiving! (Alas, when do I ever post things in a timely manner??) One of my favourite traditions is the advent wreath. (This year, I chose pastel candles!) The main greenery & pine cones are an artificial wreath, but I supplemented with some natural pine bits from this year’s Christmas tree! Homemade Advent “wreath” from wood found in the yard. All the ones on the market were either Too Much, inappropriate for the season and this Episcopalian, flammable (!), and/or grossly expensive. This is perfect for a babe in a manger and humbled and baffled parents in a stable, just trying to do the Next Right Thing for the Lord, for the son of a carpenter and the Builder of the World.
