Flames and screams in that city that was on the brink of destruction. There was only one being capable of such formidable and clean destruction. Someone who was barely visible to humans unless they tried to get close to him.

Words? Nonsense, he had come for the sick plant to cradle it and take it to his hidden empire.

But he stopped at that instant, when he heard someone behind him. Curiosity for once in him? Well, he didn't outright murder whoever was behind him so he seemed to tolerate his surroundings for now.

❝ Aaaw... I didn't ask and you're already denying it! How mean... ❞

Vash made the slightest pout, making pretty faces, as He was used to do. He could be seductive, He knew He was attractive and people liked his looks. What if He looked weak for his victim? People thought he could dominate him.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. People don't learn.

Poor things, that's why they must be saved.

✞ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ Click. Click. Click. Wolfwood is playing with his lighter again, without a care in the world or that Knives is standing right there.

“Dear God, what the fuck happened here?” He muttered to himself, patting Ghost on the flank when the beast pawed at the ground anxiously. “C’mon, boy.” As much as Ghost was clearly apprehensive, he knew they would need to take a better look. The dust had settled, so whatever catastrophe struck the city must have passed on. Maybe some people survived, and could relay what happened? It would be nearly another hour until the two reached the crater, looking around.

“Hello?” Colt called out, feeling his skin crawl like static as Ghost padded through the remains of what had once been the planet’s most advanced civilization. “Anyone out here? Jus’ yell!” And if they ended up being a threat, he always had his gun on him.

Some people...honestly.

Not only was he blocking her view of the street by stopping in the middle like a weirdo, buuut apparently he was totally unaware of his surroundings in other ways as well. Great.

She attempted to shift the boxes in her arms, trying not to grumble, as she pointed past him with one hand she managed to successfully free at the general goods shop beside him, and when she spoke her tone was flat.

A ghost town, seemingly.

That appeared to be common on this new planet. Either that or someone was wiping out the settlements before he could manage it. The boy walks slowly, uninterested in the heat from the suns or the low whistle from the wind as it picks up for nary a moment. The only downside to there being nothing here at all was the lack of any nourishment for his powers.

Souls were a boon. Without souls, no growth.

Empty. Useless.
