My family’s progress with Advanced TRS, month 1! May 2018
Notable changes with Advanced TRS: Month 1 (5/1- 5/31)Â
In general, home life has improved a great deal. I have more days where I feel better equipped to handle my children than days on which I do not, which is a fantastic change to report.  It used to be so far the opposite way, that I fantasized about the asteroid just taking us out.  Every day was a struggle, every day was emotionally taxing and I didn’t want to have a conversation after the children went to bed. That load is a bit lighter now.  Yes, we still have our moments, but 1-2 tough days per week instead of 99% of the time is a huge change!!!
My firstborn has been on time for school now, for the past 3 weeks. He has had a number of times where he was late to homeroom, since I needed to get all three boys ready, fed and out of the house at the same time, and it was a real struggle. They have been doing a great job getting themselves ready in the morning, INCLUDING hygiene (brushing teeth, combing hair)!  SO this is a great, welcome change. I am definitely yelling a whole lot less in the morning, and I’m not shaking from stress anymore when I drop him off.  Man, just writing this makes me want to cry with happiness.
My husband and I have not been at each other’s throats for at least a couple of weeks, because I’m not as stressed out when he walks through the door, and I’m not as bitter and angry. I’m sure he is grateful for that!!!  He seems a little calmer, too.
Overall, we really haven’t suffered too much with any kind of detox reactions. Some people experience reactions like headaches, flu symptoms, aches and pains, stomach problems, vivid dreams, emotional periods, etc.  I believe that the micronutrients my family and I take everyday have minimized these reactions, as they also help to support detox by balancing the body along with ingredients such as ALA (alpha lipoic acid) and NAC (which boosts glutathione, the healing antioxidant), which assist tremendously in detoxification.
Here’s a breakdown, by child, of the changes we have seen during month 1:
Child #1 (age 10): More physically affectionate. Hasn’t really been much of a hugger, but hugging more. Told me “I love you!” a couple of times, unprovoked, but at bedtime when I said it to him (hadn’t said it back for years, and I say it every day, at least twice).  Less anxiety over homework, and definitely not melting down (though he is in tears and unable to bring himself to do a large project that is being expected of him… which is no new development at all).  Sensory seeking behavior (spinning in circles, inappropriate running, tapping his head and making strange noises), is mostly gone.  Fewer angry outbursts, less whining, no meltdowns at home or at school during this time period. Has been a bit more emotional lately, over rejection from his 3 year old brother who does not enjoy his hugs. :(  While this child has been complaining for most of this school year that he has “no friends” in his class, he is now coming home and telling me stories about his “friends” at school.  He is building new relationships, and no longer perceiving everyone as “thinking he is annoying,” and I’m thrilled.
Child #2 (age 6/7):  Less emotionally volatile.  Random vocal tics (screaming, shouting, name calling, random words) seem to have mostly subsided  (aside from one day on 5/26, and a couple of times where it popped back up, but only minimally), and what a welcome relief! First day on TRS, he was crying, whiny... but his "love" for us was still there. (In the worst of his PANS/PANDAS days, he would continuously tell us that he hates us, wants to die, and called us mean, but he has been showing us his love for a few months now). We backed off and cut down to 1/2 spray starting on day two, which worked, but then 1 week in, he had a day where he was suddenly exhibiting serious impulse control issues... he picked up and threatened to hit my other son with a brick and kicked his brother in the head for turning off the TV. Since then, however, he has been totally different… He’s been fine. Like, really FINE! He is now up to 2 or 3 sprays per day (we are alternating). His silly behavior (sensory seeking behavior, vocal outbursts, spinning around in circles, crashing into things/the ground, licking us, four fingers in the mouth, etc.) are virtually gone... I'm almost afraid to jinx it.  He still has quite a bit of anxiety, some days, but on other days, I am amazed at how he is holding himself together. He has spent a day learning the lyrics to one of his favorite songs - he has never been a singer really, and definitely not a performer, but he wanted to sing to me so I could see that he learned the words.
Child #3 (age 3):  Easier time getting this child to sleep at night.  Explosion of conversational language.  He has not ever had any problems with speaking, but we are experiencing a lot more conversation.  Lots of talking (which I do not and will not take for granted, but man, it’s exhausting), and I must hear “Mommy” now 100 times per day from this child.  He has a lot to say!  He is telling me about things he does at school, and talking about things he has experienced, and expressing desire to experience and do new things. In fact, he is asking now to go to Legoland every day, asking to go back to Great Adventure, asking to go to the toy store, etc. A whole lot of new asking for things.   Also, experiencing an uptick in reactivity to his brothers tormenting him, violent towards his brothers, and angrier than he is typically. Could just be learned behavior (from watching his brothers’ negative behavior for so long) he is cycling through.  He used to sit back and observe (which originally worried me… compared to the ADHD in his brothers which I was accustomed to, I thought something was wrong that he was so calm and compliant), and now it seems that my little watcher has become a “do-er.”
Husband: Eczema has cleared up a lot, however, this is the time of year during which his eczema typically clears up. Â True test will be in weather fluctuations and when the seasons change again. Â Red eye lid lightened up in color and looks better and less droopy. Â Generally dry skin looks clearer and more hydrated. Suddenly motivated to exercise and started working out! Â
Me: Solid sleep at night… sleeping like a rock with no more night terrors (which were happening every night, and had me afraid to go to sleep from January-early May :( ) - seems like my adrenal fatigue is getting better (didn’t realize that was linked to Mercury toxicity, until recently).  Less frequent TMJ pain, though past few days, I am definitely clenching and grinding my teeth more, even while awake. A slight uptick in headaches, also related to the uptick in teeth clenching and grinding, but much less body pain. Aches and pains in my joints are gone!!!  Fewer digestive issues (no more gas, bloating, indigestion which still occurred from time to time prior to starting TRS… except for two rough days where I believe I was experiencing a healing reaction).  Lost a little bit of weight!  I am typically all over the place, mentally, but towards the end of the month I’ve noticed that my concentration and focus is getting so much better. I am getting things done again!  I am thrilled with the fact that I am overall SO MUCH LESS ANXIOUS, so much less stressed out!!!
As promised, what is to follow is our day to day journal, detailing our experiences and what we’ve noticed over the course of our first 31 days on Advanced TRS.  Please note that our experience may not be typical of what can be expected, but just my own observations of my family during this time period.  As a disclaimer, TRS is not intended to treat or cure any disease or medical issue. It is indicated for the removal of toxins and heavy metals from the body, only.
4/21/2018 (prior to starting TRS):
I have three boys, 10, almost 7, and 3 years old. My oldest two have PANS/PANDAS (strep, coxsackie, Hhv-6, and pneumococcal triggers), ASD, SPD, and ADHD. They are currently on their 4th month of antibiotics and we have a follow up with the PANDAS specialist on 5/11. I want to pull the plug on the abx but don’t want to do so without support from this guy🙂  We are treating their guts with all kinds of supplements, a PALEO (mostly), but totally gluten free, casein free diet since March 10, so for about 6 weeks.  We’ve eliminated most processed foods over the past 3 weeks, except for lunches, which are mostly clean (nuts, fruit, chocolate almond milk - so not all sugar is gone). My oldest is already calmer, more focused and better able to verbalize his emotions instead of melting down or grunting (they both are HF ASD... so they have amazing language except have communication challenges and social issues), My middle is the more challenging, even though I still have some doubts about his ASD dx (he has a desire to be social and is very sensitive to insults and being excluded). He has had some challenging behaviors with PANS (running into parking lots without looking, threatening to kill himself, jump out windows, aggression, impulse control issues in alllll ways), and most of that is better, but he still has vocal tics and is very oppositional. We are definitely dealing with impulsive ADHD right now... but it's way better than what we had before. He is calmer and more focused at times than ever since we changed the diet, but he is far from calm or focused. He has some challenging impulse control issues still, inappropriate climbing, jumping, and running, crashing etc. He is super smart, but acts like he has no brains (sounds mean, but it is how he acts... the teacher blows me away by calling him "gifted" LOL) and thrives on negative attention. He hates positive attention, but was rewarded yesterday for being kind and carrying another child's bag when he needed help. This is something that would normally have been out of character for my child.
I’m looking to add TRS to the mix, and can’t wait to see what it does for my family and to see if we can see some additional improvements to behavior and even diet.  My children fight us on trying new foods, and they dislike almost everything.  I’d love for them to heal their tastebuds and texture issues, and hopefully start to willingly eat some vegetables!  My 10 year old and 7 year old do not say "I love you" and they do not kiss us. When we ask for a kiss, they give us their heads. That would certainly be an interesting improvement based on some of the other improvements others have posted about!
My middle child  is the only one for whom we have seen a Nutritionist and MAPS (Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs) specialist -  he has confirmed systemic yeast and leaky gut, so we are treating everyone at once… I am convinced we all have leaky gut and similar issues. My youngest has food allergies and reactive airway disease... all I believe to be vaccine injuries, but I am pretty sure I have issues from mercury, so I probably passed that to them during pregnancy, and because I breastfed for 14 months/15 months/23 months..
4/25/18 (prior to starting TRS): See videos of child #2, full on fight or flight meltdown over everyday rule of no videogames until after homework is done. He knows this rule, same rule every Monday-Thursday.
5/1/2018: Day 1, START DATE. Â Administered at bedtime. Each of us got one spray of TRS (daily dose is 5 sprays, but we will be working up to that level, slowly, to avoid any serious detoxification issues)
5/2/18:All woke up this morning as usual, but my 7 year old middle child’s day started with him whining and carrying on about having to get dressed for school.  He was just in a whiny/teary mood from the start. I fed him and got him off to school and prayed for the best. He was still a bit “off” when I picked him up from school. He was whiny, unable to occupy himself at all and lost electronics for the rest of the day for not returning my phone when I asked him to do so. I thought that he may have just been hungry, so gave him chocolate almond milk with collagen mixed in (for extra protein) after school to help his blood sugar levels. Â
He was a bit better after that.
We cut down dosage to ½ spray for him, per day by pouring out half a bottle and filling again to the top with distilled water. Everyone else in the family is still doing one spray, as there are no other detox symptoms for any of the rest of us to report.
5/3/18 Oldest and youngest child have a cold or allergy symptoms. Oldest is sneezing non-stop, and the youngest has a little bit of a cough. I’m always concerned when a cough comes on for him, as he has reactive airway disease and can be back to the nebulizer/inhaler quickly.  Â
I, personally, also have the cold/allergy symptoms - congestion, cough, sore/tickle in the throat..  This seems to be my standard detox symptom, as it has occured with every protocol I’ve tried that may result in die-off, including CBD oil, parasite cleanse, soil-based probiotics, and now TRS.
Husband has no detox symptoms at this time.
Middle Child has no detox symptoms at this time. Continuing ½ spray at bedtime.
5/4/18: Still all on one spray per night, except child #2, still getting ½.  No issues, but colds continue for child #1, #3 and me.
Just realized that my middle child’s vocal stimming/vocal tic is gone. He is not randomly screaming or making noises throughout the day. Calm, cool and collected, even on electronics!!!
Went to bed last night, don’t remember anything after my head hit the pillow.  Husband opened the bedroom door and I panicked, not knowing what day of the week it was or if I had to get up.  Slept REALLY well!
5/5/18: My middle child turns 7 today.  We had a busy day with soccer first, and then his birthday party later in the day. He had an amazing time at his party and was pretty social with his friends. He did, however, take off from the table after eating and we had to find him to sing to him and have cupcakes.  He was embarrassed while the kids were singing to him and tried to shy away (normal behavior for him… he doesn’t like positive attention).  Great day!
5/6/18: Middle child was very calm and quiet all day. He may have simply been tired from all of his jumping and exercise yesterday, but he was well behaved. He spent the whole day building his new lego sets and playing quietly with his toys. He is usually very needy, and doesn’t play well alone, but he’s doing great day.
Child #1 was also calm and well behaved.
Child #3 didn’t destroy anything.  I think that’s good.
5/8/18: Child #1 got in trouble at school for hacking into his brothers chromebook and changing his wallpaper background to My Little Pony. The affected child also found this to be hilarious. Impressed and also surprised that no one was angry.
Child #2 was in a rough place today.  Child #1 had a friend over to play, and #2 couldn’t handle that.  Child #2 threatened to throw a brick at his brother for not sharing his ipad with him.  Thankfully, he did not do so, but we had to wrestle the brick away from him.  Later, at bedtime, child #3 turned off the TV at bedtime (#2 was told to do so and didn’t listen), and so child #2 kicked him in the head, right in front of dad.  Impulsive control issues, violent outbursts back?  These were our most prevalent, concerning PANS related issues.  Retracing?
5/9/18: Â Child #2 behavior has improved a lot from yesterday. No meltdowns, no whining, carrying on. A great day.
5/12/18: Kids have been really even-keeled. I’m almost afraid to jinx it!   Oddly, I’m feeling really strong urges to introvert. I’m also feeling an uptick in social anxiety, and I’d love to hide away from people to avoid that feeling. Still pushing through, but wonder if this feeling is part of the emotional detox some people experience with TRS.  I feel equally socially inadequate and like I just don’t feel like being social at all. Strange combination, but then I also feel a little sad about my friend situation… you know, no one I can depend on wholeheartedly, etc.
5/13/18: Yesterday, we went out to lunch. I had stuffed shrimp (likely made with butter), a beer, and garlic fries with brown gravy. I hadn’t (really) eaten any gluten or dairy in two months. Then I drank vodka last night. Had TERRIBLE abdominal pains that began late last night. Digestive system is not right and I have pain everywhere... didn’t do much at all today. Felt very lethargic and a bit ill (but not hungover).  After the fact, I’m wondering if it was detox related…
5/14/18: Tomorrow is our two weeks on TRS. Vocal tics are virtually eliminated. We have reciprocal conversation!!!! Today, we had a great conversation about both of my big boys' new YouTube channels... what they want to call them, and what they plan to do their videos on. During this 20 minute conversation in the car (pretty sure it was the first time ever that they did not ask me to turn the movie or the radio on…), I had the sudden thought, and yes, this may sound pathetically sad, that this was the first time in as long as I can remember that I was enjoying their company together.  Yes, the conversation was focused on their narrow interests, but usually, there is no give and take with these boys... sometimes, even between the two of them, there isn't much conversation, just fighting.  It makes it very difficult to enjoy our time with them both at the same time. Â
We had a rough few days in the beginning. I think one spray was too much for my 7 year old - he was crying, whiny... but his "love" for us was still there. Since then, however, he has been fine. Like, really FINE! He is now back up to one spray per day, and we just bumped up to 1.5 for him. His silly behavior, and also my oldest's silly behavior (sensory seeking behavior, vocal outbursts, spinning around in circles, licking us, fingers in the mouth, etc) are virtually gone... I'm almost afraid to jinx it. LOL The rest of us are doing two sprays... The only die-off symptom most of us experienced is a cold/sinus infection-like issue. Seems to be my form of detox whenever I'm doing anything that could lead to these symptoms...congestion, sore throat, sneezing. My oldest and youngest had runny noses, coughing and sneezing, but it's gone now. Thought it could have been allergies, but maybe just detox. I am blown away by how calm everyone is. Usually, my kids are so loud and rambunctious, and they are way more calm than they have been. I realize that we are going to have good and bad moments, but believe me when I tell you that I'm savoring the good right now!!! Looking forward to more improvements as we go along :)
I should add... My husband is not calm... he is actually moody as all hell... I think maybe we will hear his experience at some point later down the road. He always/never notices anything from anything he takes :)
5/15/18: My 10 year old suddenly has been asking to help me with small cooking tasks... yesterday, he learned how to crack eggs and today, he asked to roll out the pizza dough with a rolling pin. He has never, ever, ever wanted to help me cook anything, even though I’ve always asked. Have I said never? Plus, we are seeing reciprocal conversation... for My 7 year old, also. And they haven’t been triggering each other for the past few days. We are two weeks into TRS, and I already don’t know who these children are. And he ran off to wash his hands afterwards, without being asked. If you have a child on the spectrum, you may know how crazy exciting that is for me. I’ve always thought he was allergic to cleanliness.  I spoke too soon about the fighting, but at least it's only name calling? "You're a brat, no you're a brat:... "You need to shut up". Etc.  Passed quickly. Right to bed today with no talking? Ok, I’ll take it!!!  :)
I visited a holistic dentist for a consultation to remove my mercury amalgams.  $2900!  I’m trying to rationalize this. I realize that the fee really isn’t that bad, considering the work they do, but I would rather not spend that. I do think having them removed would change SO MUCH for me, though.
5/16/18: Nothing exceptional to report about behavior today.  Took child #2 to the nutritionist in the evening. Nutritionist claimed to have noticed a 180* change in his demeanor during our visit. Noted previous visits, he would not make eye contact, he was climbing and jumping off the furniture, hiding under the desk, despite having an ipad to keep him entertained, he would not sit still, and was very vocal (noisy, distracting, etc.)  This visit, first thing he said to her was “I want cheese.”  He did climb onto the furniture, and tried to distract us at first, but then I guess it stopped being fun?  Today, he started using my phone under the desk, quietly, and was well behaved for the next hour or so.  He showed our Nutritionist eye contact, reciprocal conversation (although about video games), and he was so much calmer than he ever was for her before (this was our third visit with her).
5/17/18: Kids were a little bit scatterbrained leaving for school.  Child #2 forgot his backpack when leaving for school, but was otherwise great about getting himself ready.  I’m feeling incredibly overwhelmed and so sick of “peopling”
5/19/18: Kids and hubby started on two sprays per day last night (one in the morning, one at bedtime).  Kids were bouncing off the walls this morning, which was to be expected since it’s rained all week and they have been stuck in the house. I expected them to make me a bit crazy, but the boys were really quite calm, focused (albeit on video games), and quiet.  Child #2 had a few minutes of insanity when child #1 refused to help him with something on the xbox… but, unlike how he would have acted previously, he did not have a meltdown or act aggressively.  He did keep asking, incessantly, and eventually child #1 got up to help him.
I am doing one spray in the morning, and two sprays at bedtime, and I’m noticing that I’m super moody. LOL Just grouchy… my children calling my name makes me angry, and I was feeling a little bit sad for some reason today.  Also, I am experiencing terrible cystic acne, all around my hairline (forehead, behind ears, along my jaw, and on my chin. Â
5/20/18 Woke up with a migraine, and a lot of pain in my jaw (I suffer from TMJ issues for a couple of years).
#2 child (7) said “good morning” to me today when I walked out of my bedroom at 7:30am.  He usually screams “Ugh” and whines, because he knows that when I get up during the week, it’s time to turn off the ipad and get ready for school.  This is great progress!
5/21/18: Woke up with yet another migraine (wondering if it’s due to sleeping with nightguard in again).
5/22/18: Woke up with another migraine… slept with nightguard in again. Aidan told me “I love you,” today.  He hasn’t said it for as long as I can remember. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s an abstract emotion or what, but neither he or Andrew has said it in years!   I am thrilled;.
5/23/18: Did not use nightguard last night, and no headache this morning. Been noticing a sudden uptick in sugar cravings. Â
Kids seemed very scatterbrained today.  Child #2 forgot his backpack when leaving for school (nothing new, really, but he’s been a bit better about it lately). Took kids to chiropractor for adjustments. #2 was super whiny while we were there (think he was just hungry, mood leveled off after some chocolate almond milk with collagen), and #1 was agreeable but hyperactive. Â
5/24/18: Kids were relatively tame today. Husband took our two older boys to the movies, and they had Sprite with their popcorn.  He  said my 7 year old (#2) was extremely fidgety, hyper and silly.  I don’t think anyone can be surprised by this given that he hasn’t had soda in a while..
I had a girls night out to paint pallets. Â I had one terribly sweet margarita, and have had stomach pains and gas since then. Â Not feeling well at all, and this is very sudden.
5/25/18: Woke up with intense pains in my stomach. Feels so much like an ulcer, at times, nearly as painful as a gallbladder attack (my gallbladder was removed in 2005)… Performed a coffee enema to help with detox and to flush the liver, felt a little bit better afterwards, but stomach pains continued throughout the day. Appetite gone, drank some electrolytes, lots of water, and just coasted through my day.  I am not a “sitter,” but I sat for two hours to watch The Greatest Showman.  Then just sat on the couch and read my book… body felt weak and I felt tired. Went to bed at 10… an hour earlier than usual.
Boys were fine. Nothing to report. Â Did not have a rough morning, despite bedtime last night after 10pm.
5/26/18: Child #3, (3) pooped in the potty and woke us up to tell us.  He has not been doing this… but has been otherwise potty trained for a few months now.  I’ve been putting him back in pull-ups since we’ve been tossing so many pairs of ruined underwear.  He had an accident later in the day, very seedy poop… seems to be full of parasite eggs! Yuck.
Husband claims that his skin is doing great, and eczema has cleared up. Unfortunately, this is the time of year when it usually clears up, so he can’t claim that it is due to TRS.  Seasonal change in the fall will be the true test for him.
Child #2 has been incessantly asking for things all morning. Only 10:30 am and he has already been begging me to go in the pool (just opened last night and we are treating it now), begged for a ring pop, and begged to go to his grandmother’s. Now it’s 1:30 and he just spends some time crying for a banana (he’s already had one today, but when his father said no because he’s already had one, he cried, insisting he hadn’t).  On a good note, each time I said “not now,” he didn’t cry, throw things at me or kick/scream/cry. This used to be our biggest PANDAS related issue, months ago, and it used to happen more often than not… nearly every day. He’d get fixated on things and you could not breat the incessant demands… and man, were they random!
On another note, I’ve noticed that the same child had stopped name calling (us, siblings)... until today… it’s back. He is purposely saying things to get a rise out of us again. There’s been none of this for 3 weeks. He called his brother buttface, called my “husband fat butt man” and keeps mocking what we say with responses like “oh, you want me to fart?” Or just simply “poop?”  He cannot sit still,
Seems like we are dealing with a real fine day of retracing! Worth it, if it all ends for good after this!!!
I have diarrhea again, for the second day in a row. Lots of stomach and abdominal pain, gas and rumbling. Not much of an appetite.  Cold/sinus symptoms returned… just a general feeling of some congestion and sore adenoids/throat.
5/27/18: Woke up feeling so much better, and appetite was back, though not back to normal. Â Really had no cravings at all for anything specific today (sugar cravings are gone). Â Had a normal bowel movement, and stomach pains returned afterwards, for a few minutes, but then dissipated. Â
Child #3 started coughing today. Suddenly, and out of nowhere. Â He does not have a cold or any other symptoms. Â Interestingly, he has reactive airway disease, which has not acted up for months. Â Wondering if it is a retracing/healing reaction for him, and if this is somehow being repaired during this process. Â How exciting!!! Â Â Coughing stopped as quickly as it came on.
Husband started complaining about similar stomach issues, pains, rumbling, gas, etc late in the evening.
Kids were pretty much fine today. They were trapped in the house due to the rain, but didn’t fight, minimal whining and all of #1 and #3’s terrible listening from yesterday, and #2’s outbursts, compulsive and attention seeking behaviors from yesterday were gone.  I was really surprised that my #2 child (7) asked to sing to me.  He has spent a good chunk of time learning the lyrics to his favorite song.  1. He has never really been a singer for the heck of it, 2. His focus on this task was amazing, and he figured it out, 3. He has never, ever wanted to sing to me or in front of me. He has never been a performer. It seems to me, that since we started on TRS, any days that seem to be filled with setbacks are followed by tremendous growths on the following day.  I did not cut down on number of sprays due to his behavior, but have been continuing with two sprays per day anyway, since they are home for a long weekend. We are doing one in the morning, and one at night.
5/28/2018: The husband is in rough shape. His digestive tract is a mess and he has gas, rumbling and diarrhea. Seems to be running the same course as mine did the other day. I question whether it was from the TRS or a stomach bug, but we are pushing through, nonetheless.  If it is due to a stomach bug, I’m glad there was no vomiting involved :)  He did not drink coffee due to feeling a bit rumbly, and therefore had a headache!
I took my two younger boys (7 and 3) to Six Flags Great Adventure today, to get them out of the house. We are season pass holders, but my boys have never really enjoyed being there (we get the passes so we can enjoy the affiliated water park next door during the summer, mainly), aside from the fact that they get to drink soda while they are there.  I have never taken any of my boys to this theme park alone, but today we had a great time. We had a few hiccups (like the boys constantly bickering and hitting each other, and one falling off the stroller, my 7 year old getting a little scrape and running off from us and the line we were standing in), but overall, it was a really good day. As I mentioned, my boys don’t usually enjoy this place… in fact, last time we visited, all my middle child did was melt-down while we were there. They don’t typically do rides at all, and just complain about wanting ice cream, popcorn, soda, cotton candy, etc. Well, needless to say, they didn’t get much of this stuff since they are eating gluten and dairy free. We had gluten free chicken nuggets, hot dogs with no buns (still working on expanding that child’s palate), french fries and NO SODA. Yes, the 7 year old was upset about that, but we had a better time without it. They did have popcorn (gluten free/dairy free), and the silly behavior kicked up (making me question artificial dye content, etc.)  I expected to last an hour with these children, but we stayed from 1-7:30pm!  We went on a lot of rides, and had a good time. They are already asking to go back!
P.S. Left first born home with dad… he is not a fan of GA, because he doesn’t like rides very much. If we can get him to change his tune, we might have a good thing going.
5/29/18:  Husband’s digestion is better today.
Child #2 is a bit oppositional today. Taunting me. Talking back, being fresh, not listening.  A little bit of his vocal outbursts are back today.  We are also doing 2 or 3 sprays per day now (alternating days), and that may be the reason for the uptick in behavior. Â
Child #1 agreed to set the table for dinner today and did a great job. He has been super helpful for me lately, not complaining when I interrupt his ipad time to ask for assistance with things around the house. I’m thrilled.
I personally am feeling moody and don’t feel like parenting today. LOL  I had an excellent run of focusing on a business project I’m working on, and didn’t want to be interrupted to pick up children from school and care for them when we got home. I wanted to get back to my place of hyperfocus and carry on. I am thrilled that I was able to focus today and get so much accomplished.
I woke up today with a migraine. Due to jump from 2 sprays to 3 yesterday?  Could be the weather (humidity) or ovulation, or even the full moon.  No appetite.  Took some electrolytes, drank more water and visited the chiropractor, which didn’t improve much.  I did end up taking migraine meds, and felt much better later in the day. I would love to eliminate the need for them.  I’m suddenly noticing an uptick in grinding and clenching my teeth, particularly while I’m awake (this isn’t common for me).  Possibly some type of emotional/anxious detox?  This teeth clenching increases the frequency of my headaches, for sure. :(  I hope it passes soon!
Children were in good spirits today when getting ready for school, and I didn’t have to yell once. They all did as they were told, aside from #3 who wasn’t going to school anyway (he refused to put pants on LOL).
After school was a bit tumultuous… we went directly from school to the chiropractor to get the children adjusted.  Child #1 was a bit emotional, crying because he tried to hug child #3, who hit him instead.  He is feeling very sensitive to his brother’s rejection (Child #3 is the one person child #1 has always been super affectionate with, and of course he really doesn’t want it).  I *believe* the extra emotion at this time was because he was hungry, but it could have been a bit of emotional detox as well. I feel like while child #1 is happier overall since beginning on TRS, he is definitely crying more often. Thank goodness, he is not having meltdowns.  The two older boys are constantly tormenting, touching, teasing or trying to smother the youngest with affection, even when he tells them to leave him alone, and today was no exception. I look forward to the day when the two older boys listen when told to stop. If TRS can get that to happen, I will tell everyone I know about it!!! LOL
The boys seem to be more together in the morning than they used to be. We started using (loosely, a few days ago) a visual schedule as a checklist for what needs to be done in the morning, and they have been getting dressed and ready for school on their own, which has been super helpful since I spend so much time making bacon and doctoring up their grape juice with supplements every morning!
Child #1 has been on time to school every day for the past 3 weeks. They have all been so good about getting right out of the house that he hasn’t been late. Poor child has 13 tardies this year, because I need to get us all ready and out the door at the same time, and it’s been a STRUGGLE… LOL  I’m glad that has been getting better.  Noticed this today since I looked at his status with the school district.
Children came home from school today a bit more hyperactive than usual, and did nothing but eat!  Thankfully, they are eating a healthy diet.  I’m hoping for the start to a growth spurt for my oldest who is tiny for his age.  They ate, and ate, and ate, and then spent some time focused on their ipads. It was a relatively peaceful night after the initial craziness and asking for snacks.
