In burger form, you can enjoy the rich and savory flavors of Filipino adobo. The classic adobo marinade and juicy burger patties come together in these Adobo Burgers to make a unique and mouthwatering meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 lb ground pork. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup vinegar. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 bay leaf. 1/2 tsp black peppercorns. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of cheese optional. Lettuce leaves. Sliced tomatoes. Sliced onions. Mayonnaise. Cooking oil for grilling.
Instructions: Mix ground beef and ground pork together in a bowl. Combine well. Put soy sauce, vinegar, garlic powder, bay leaf, and black peppercorns in a saucepan. Bring it to a boil, then lower the heat and let it cook for five minutes. Take the bay leaf off. On top of the meat, pour the adobo sauce. Mix everything together well. For at least 30 minutes, let it sit. Set your grill or grill pan on medium-high heat to get it ready to use. To keep things from sticking, brush them with cooking oil. Make 4 patties out of the meat mixture and cook them on the grill for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them. No need to: In the last minute of grilling, put a slice of cheese on top of each patty to melt. On the grill, toast the hamburger buns until they are just barely golden. Put together your adobo burgers: On the bottom half of each bun, put a lettuce leaf. Put a cooked patty, tomato slices, and onions on top. Put the top half of the buns on top of the burgers and spread mayonnaise on them. Adobo Burgers made in the Filipino style are best when served hot.
