After a period of slumber, a new Kinkmeme Round starts, with a little change to the rules.

Many of you asked to have more control on being anonymous: right now the only options are either removing the fic from the kinkmeme collection or asking us to deanon it.

The Round Three collection won't be anonymous anymore, but still we ask you to at least publish anonymously by adding your fic to the Anonymous collection on AO3, to keep with the spirit of the kinkmeme before de-anoning - but it is up to you, of course!

The old rounds, however, will stay as they are at least for now, as removing anonymous from the collection means de-anoning everyone, people who want to stay anonymous included. So, for now, if you want to claim a fill from previous rounds, you still have to shoot us a DM until we fin a solution

We have teamed up with the lovely people at @f1blrcreatorsfest for a project with a focus on artists of any media and on artist-writer collaboration.

Presenting the "F1blrs Hypersoft Collab Fest 2024" - Hypersoft Fest for friends.

The theme is simple: romance book covers and movie posters - think, for example, about 'the harlequin romance covers in the 80s, or about romcom movies... but don't worry, we will provide inspiration and prompts. Once the covers are out, authors can write something about it, be it an excerpt, a blurb, or a whole multi chapter fic based on the cover. Or vice versa.

We have an interst check, so we can iron out the last kinks with your help!

Hello, Another Formula One season ends, and yet another winter break is upon us - so, just like last year, what better way to pass the time as we wait if not another round of the new and improved Kinkmeme? You can follow #f1kinkmeme for any update on the event!

WHAT IS A KINKMEME? In case you're new, a kinkmeme is where someone requests a prompt and/or pairing, and someone fills that request - all anonymously. WHEN? ROUND TWO starts on November 26th 2023, and ends when it reaches 3k prompts - no deadline for fills, even for older rounds! WHERE? You can submit and fill the prompts HERE ON AO3 starting on the 26th of November, 2023, 0:00 (GMT+1) WHO? The kinkmeme is open to anyone - readers, prompters, writers, artists. Everyone is welcome!

IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS OR SUGGESTION YOU CAN SEND US AN ASK!

NOT ALLOWED: Driver/Reader, prompts with WAGs, prompts with athletes that are not in motorsports or other celebrities.

YOU CAN RE-PROMPT ROUND ONE PROMPTS: only if unclaimed or unfilled - just specify that this is the case in your request.

ALL DRIVERS FROM ANY ERA OF FORMULA ONE ARE ACCEPTED: classic Formula One, drivers who have been in F1 for only a season, all of it is very much appreciated. Also, Driver/Team Manager, Driver/Engineer, Team Manager/Team Manager etcetera are welcome as usual. So are prompts involving women working in F1 (engineers, PR managers and so on) are also accepted.

AS LONG AS AT LEAST ONE DRIVER IS AN F1 DRIVER you can prompt pairings (or threesomes etc etc) with drivers from other motorsport categories like Formula E, IndyCars, WEC etcetera.

ALL WORK LENGTHS ARE ACCEPTED: you can submit anything between a drabble (100 words) and a long-fic. Multi-chaptered fics are welcome too!

IF A PROMPT CONTAINS SENSITIVE CONTENT (LARGE AGE GAPS, CONSENT ISSUES, INFIDELITY, DEATH, DRUG USE, AND OTHER DARK THEMES), PLEASE PUT THE TRIGGER WARNINGS AT THE START OF YOUR REQUEST: if you’re in doubt if something is triggering, TAG IT ANYWAYS - better safe than sorry. Of course, the same goes for the fills: please tag the kinks and eventual triggers correctly. And no, "DEAD DOVE DO NOT EAT" ALONE DOESN'T QUITE CUT IT. If you don’t want to disclose anything, please use the archive warning "AUTHOR CHOSE NOT TO WARN", so readers can proceed at their own discretion.

If there’s something you really don’t want to see in the prompt fill, please specify it with “DO NOT WANT” in your request. Same thing goes with things you absolutely want the prompt filler to put in the fic: specify it with “WANT”, of course.

When you fill a prompt, please specify what prompt you are responding to in the author's notes.

ARCHIVE LOCKING YOUR WORKS IS NOW MANDATORY We know this is neither a foolproof way to keep things from spilling out to mainstream media and reaching the drivers' eyes nor a foolproof way to cover our asses, since we are basically working on the honour system, but it is the best that we all can do. Let's keep our RPF in our corner of the fandom.

Do I have to stay anonymous? In the spirit of the kinkmeme, both prompter and author should be anonymous, but if you don’t want to stay anonymous you can of course claim your prompt and/or fills! Unofortunately the way the collections on AO3 are set up don't allow the authors to opt-out of it so IF YOU WANT TO CLAIM YOUR PROMPT FILL ON AO3, YOU CAN DM US MODS HERE ON TUMBLR AND WE'LL DE-ANON IT FOR YOU!

I have a prompt but I don't want/don't have time to write, can I still submit prompts? Absolutely yes!

How do I submit anonymously to this blog? To submit anonymously, log out of tumblr or open the submission page in an incognito tab. An e-mail is required but no one but us mods will see it.

How do I prompt on AO3? HERE'S a little visual guide.

I already prompted once, but now that I'm adding another prompt AO3 tells me that my sign up-is invalid, why? A) you have unchecked the "semi-anonymous" checkbox for the latest prompt, thus making it incoherent with the rest of the sign-up (ex: you posted 2 anon prompts and wanted to post a third without anon, that would invalidate the sign-up) B) you haven't put anything in the required information (fandom & archive warnings) C) Some boxes (fandom, category, rating) have a maximum of tags allowed, so you have probably exceeded it

How many prompts can I submit? Every AO3 account has a maximum of 50 PROMPTS PER SIGN-UP, as per AO3 upper limit.

I don’t have an AO3 account but I want to participate, how can I do that? You can send us an ASK or an ANONYMOUS SUBMISSION with your prompt or fill, and we'll proceed to post everything on AO3 as soon as possible. If you are bold enough and don’t want to stay anonymous, you can post your fills on tumblr using the #f1kinkmeme and #kinkmeme.fill tags and mentioning us @formulaonekinkmeme to make sure we see it and have it ready for Fic Rec Fridays.

Instead of fanfic, can I fill a prompt with art or other media? Yes please! All kinds of media are welcome here - fanart, gifsets, manips, video edits or really anything that pops into your mind You can post your art either on AO3 [HERE'S A GUIDE ON HOW TO POST VISUAL MEDIA ON AO3], or SUBMIT ANONYMOUSLY. If you, however, don’t give a damn about anonymity, post it on tumblr using both the tags #f1kinkmeme and #kinkmeme.fill tags and mentioning us @formulaonekinkmeme, just like for fanfic,

Can I only prompt/submit NSFW material? Of course not! Even if this is an NSFW oriented event, fluffy and angsty SFW prompts and works are very welcome too.

Can I only prompt pairings? No, you can also prompt threesomes, foursomes and so on and so forth - the more the merrier. You can also prompt genfic without pairings using “No Pairing”, or prompt something for an unspecified pairing using “Any/Any”

Can I fill my own prompt? Sure! It’s anonymous, so who’s going to know?

Can I re-prompt something with variations? If you see a prompt you like and would like to read it for your own pairing, you can re-prompt it! Just make it clear that it’s a re-prompt when you submit it.
