Could you pretty please write a scenario where Ja'far's S/O introduces him to their parents?
Ja’far nervously straightens his collar and smooths out any wrinkles in his clothing. He’s taking deep breaths to calm himself to no avail. What if his S/O’s parent’s didn’t approve of him? What if he acts strangely, or any of his past habits shine through, that would be a nightmare. He couldn’t imagine having to explain to them that their child was marrying an ex assassin. He couldn’t have them know what he was really capable of.
“If you don’t calm down, you’re going to have a heart attack.” His S/O says calmly.
He takes a deep breath and tries to relax his shoulders. “You’re right I just…..what if I mess this up somehow? What if they don’t approve of me?”
His S/O sighs and plants a kiss on his head. “You’ll be fine….now...what did your mother always tell you was most important?”
Ja’far looks up at them confusedly, his eyebrows knitting together. “You mean Rurumu? There were a lot of things she told me were important….like not stabbing people….conducting myself properly...not stabbing people….avoiding profanity….not stabbing people.”
They sigh. “I’m not talking about not stabbing people, I’m pretty sure you’re not going to stab my parents. Right?”
He nods. “Of course not, I would never do anything like that.”
They chuckle. “That’s reassuring. I’m talking about what she always used to say to you and Sinbad about the secret to diplomacy and negotiation.”
Ja’far frowns. “Like I said she said many things about that….”
“You’re doing the opposite of it right now”
Ja’far frowns deeper. “What do you mean.”
His S/O sighs and puts a finger to his mouth, pulling his frown into a smile. “If you just calm down, and keep smiling, everything will be fine okay?”
He grins. “Okay. I love you”
His S/O matches his grin and leads him away. “I love you too.”
