⇢ fluff, fairy!Jungkook
Crayon Prompts
It was just a silly wish.
Just a simple silly silly wish that you’d made on a whim when you’d seen happy golden dandelions growing beside the road during your walk home.
You hadn’t expected a simple wish to snowball into what was happening at the moment.
You were snuggled comfortably in bed after a long day when a faint glow woke you up. You’d figured that it was the glow of your phone screen from a notification, so you flailed mindlessly in an attempt shut it off. You went from half asleep to wide awake in a matter of seconds after you heard a light thump come from near your window. You shot ramrod straight up and clutched your covers in surprise, gaping at the sight before you.
He had a fluffy mop of hair on top of his head with small golden flowers haphazardly sticking out of it. You struggled to form words but they got caught in the back of your throat when you realized that the glow hadn’t from your phone. It was coming from him. A soft glow emanated from him as if he was the sun itself. With the simple shirt, jeans and messenger bag that was slung around his shoulder, he could pass as a normal college kid on his way to class if it wasn’t for the whole glowing situation. But he most definitely wasn’t normal because he was currently standing in your third story apartment in the middle of the night, lighting up your bedroom like a christmas tree.
“Hi I’m Jungkook!” He smiles warmly and takes a step forward. His introduction snapped you out of your gawking and you missed the next thing he said in your vigorous search for your phone. When you scooted back on your bed as close to the wall as you possibly could and punched in numbers on your phone he realized what you were doing and started chanting “No you don’t understand no no no no nonono-”
“Hello 911? There’s a man in my hou-hey!” Jungkook snached the phone out our your hands and held it out of your reach, his eyes wide and pleading. “Please don’t call the police I’m not a criminal I promise. I’m just here to do my job I’m not going to hurt you.” Sensing your skepticism, he motioned for you to wait a moment. He dug in his bag and made a small noise of triumph when he produced a small drawstring pouch and quickly pulled it open. “I’m a fairy, I’ve come to grant your wish!” He plopped himself cross legged on your bed and grabbed your wrist to dump the contents of the pouch into your hand.
You stare blankly at the pile of fluff in your hand, completely perplexed as to what in the world he wanted you to do with this. “You wished on this dandelion earlier.” He braced his elbows on his muscular thighs and waved a hand nonchalantly over your hand that held the dandelion tufts. You gasped in awe when the vision of you walking down the street and plucking the flower played like a movie before your eyes. “See I told you I was a fairy” he giggled lightly at your reaction.
“Can you do that again?” You said excitedly after the scene faded. He grinned happily and nodded his head, scooting closer to you so that his knees knocked against yours. He placed his hands over yours, his eyes fluttered closed and his face scrunched up in concentration before he removed his hands from yours. The dandelion tufts began to move of their own accord and you could swear that you could hear faint music playing as the seeds twirled and danced in your palm. You and Jungkook sat there like that for quite a while, laughing and giggling as he showed you his tricks. You laughed especially hard when he made your teddy bears waltz in mid air while you hummed a thoughtless tune. He answered the questions you had, never getting annoyed by your curiosity. He seemed to genuinely enjoy the time he was spending with you, he was enthusiastic when he told his stories of what it was like where he was from and the mischief that he and his friends would get into.
This has to be a dream, you thought to yourself. There was no way any of this could be real. Absolutely no possible way a beautiful man could fly into your window and make you laugh till you were breathless.
“So what was your wish?”
You felt your face heat up in embarrassment under his expectant gaze. When you had made the wish you hadn’t expected to have to say it out loud to to another person at some point. Especially not someone as handsome as Jungkook.
You mumbled your answer hurriedly, feeling the heat from your face travel down your neck. Jungkook’s face scrunched up cutely in confusion. “What?” You breathed a big sigh and close your eyes, steeling yourself for what you were about to say. “I kind of… um.. haven’thadmyfirstkiss.” Now it was his turn to blush, and he must have become aware of just how close the two of you were because he fidgeted where he sat uncomfortably, but didn’t move away.
“Do you want one?” He mumbled shyly, staring at where his hands were fidgeting with a loose thread on the edge of his shirt.
“W-want one?”
He licked his lips and your eyes couldn’t help but track the motion. He looked at you and puffed up with a bit more confidence. “Do you want a kiss Y/N?”
And how could you refuse? It was only a dream anyway, so it couldn’t hurt.
You closed your eyes, and your breath hitched when his hand softly cupped your cheek and tilted your head towards his. The kiss was soft and sweet, his lips were plush against yours and now that you were at close quarters you could smell that Jungkook smelled unmistakingly like vanilla. You relaxed into the kiss and let him lead, trying to mimic the soft movement of his lips. It was over all too soon after that. When the two of you parted you rested your forehead against his and basked in the comfortable silence.
Your eyelids felt heavy, and you faintly realized that you were leaning more heavily onto Jungkook than you intended. The only problem is, you couldn’t seem to help it, the drowsiness hit you like a truck and your body felt like lead. Your eyelids betrayed you and you barely registered Jungkook settling you back beneath your covers.
“Goodnight Y/N. I hope.” He paused, worrying his bottom lip between his teeth for a moment. “I hope you liked your wish.”
You felt sad falling asleep, not wanting the dream to end just yet.
It was in the morning when you awoke to a golden dandelion sitting on top of your dresser, that you were sure that you’d see Jungkook again sometime soon.
