Chrollo would take a liking to dark types, legendaries, and any pokemon with unusual abilities.  For example, he’d probably treasure a Ditto as while not incrdibly powerful on it’s own, it’s ability to steal other’s moves would appeal to his nen.  He’d also take a liking to Mewtwo, a strong, intelligent, and one of a kind pokemon.  Pokemon with the ability to mega-evolve would also interest him.

Feitan would go for dark, ghost, and dragon type pokemon such as Giratina, Sableye, and Mismagius.  For some reason I also picture him walking around with a Marowok (him and Feitan’s armor abilities would make them bros).

Machi would prefer psychic and fighting types.  Gallade would definitely be her favorite as a go-to in battle and as a companion.  I could also see her as someone with a team of eeveelutions, favoring Umbreon and Espeon.

Shalnark would be surrounded by super cute normal types - like Audino and jigglypuff - just because he adores them, but when in battle he’d have a trusty Emporeon by his side (he originally chose a piplup and cared for it as it evolved).

Phinx takes a liking to intimidating pokemon, so would probably go for fighting and ground types, but wouldn’t be limited by type.  He keeps a Machamp and red Gyrados close to his side in battles.  (He also acts like a worried mom whenever they get hurt.)

Kortopi wouldn’t really take type into consideration; it would be a matter of compatibility with himself.  I could totally see him with a Tangrowth and Hitmonchan.

Kalluto would definitely be a fan of dark pokemon.  I also see him as someone who’d choose pokemon without evolutions.  Absol would probably be his favorite.

Nobunga would be a fan of psychic and fighting types, maybe with some normal types mixed in.  Alakazam would be his bff when it came to lead pokemon, followed by Fearow and Mienshao.

Franklin likes steel, rock, and ground types.  Pokemon with a hard exteriors like himself would appeal to him.  Steelix would be his most trusty companion, along with a Golem.

Shizuku prefers bug, poison, dark, and ghost types.  Her team would consist of cute but deadly pokemon, probably along the lines of Gengar, Venomoth, Ariados, and Gothitelle.  She may use a Drifblim to float around on.

Pakunoda would like poison and dark types, perhaps with some ice and flying in the mix.  She’d pick pokemon that appear strong, serene, and somewhat intimidating.  She’d start off with something like a Noctowl and eventually obtain an Arbok and Articuno as her favorites.

Uvogin loves fire types; he finds it fun to watch them burn his enemies.  Houndoom and Pyroar would be his go-to’s in battle, and he’d use Houndoom’s Mega Evolution far too often.

Bonolenov would be strictly into fighting types that display his passion for battle.  Lucario would make an excellent partner for him.

As the leader of the troupe, loyalty is important to Chrollo.  He’d appreciate the way that you keep your cool, not showing your true feelings to those around you.  He’d value your honesty and rational thinking, probably leaving more important tasks and decisions to you over other troupe members.

Like Chrollo, Feitan would undoubtably respect the way you value your friends and stay loyal to those you care about.  He’d appreciate your rational mind and honesty; you’d be someone he would listen to and perhaps ask for advice.

Hisoka would find your honesty refreshing, and probably use it against you when playing his little games.  He’d try to break through your cold exterior and make you show your nervousness on your face.

Feitan would be interested in your extensive knowledge of torture methods, and the two of you would probably end up having lengthy discussions on the matter.  He’d appreciate the way you don’t back down and your senses of humor would probably click.

Leorio would respect the way that you stand up for what you believe in and aren’t afraid to correct other’s ignorance.  Your sarcasm would piss him off and he’d yell at you but in his friendly kind of yelling bc pissed off way.

Kurapika would admire the way you care a lot about your culture and origins, as he does with his Kurta blood, and find it cute to see you interacting with animals.  Your patience and determination would lead the two of you to become fast friends.
