SWTOR OCs: What is their family history like? How do their familial relationships affect them in the present? How do they feel about their family? How does their family feel about them?
Family is a big thing for my main four!
Click is a middle son in a very large family, making his on way in the world while his older sibs went into the family business. He cares abut all of his family a lot, visits for the holidays, and brings awesome presents for the younger kids. Family is one of the things he likes to talk about; also one of the few things he finds confusing about the heroic and virtuous jedi order is that they ...don't... have... families. Like at all. Weird. His family is really healthy and awesome, but there are a lot of them, so it's the kind of place where you end up with a childhood nickname you can never shake off. And then they make your favorite food when you come home for dinner and tell you to send more holo-postcards.
Vikke is kind of the complete opposite. She was born into a communal asteroid mining operation --imagine a bunch of hippies with space trucks-- and she pretty much sold out the entire place to the megacorps to get her first ship. They hate her; she mostly doesn't give a fuck about them. If I roll a bounty hunter, one of the possible back stories I've thought of is another member of the asteroid commune who picked up a job that might get them a chance at revenge...
Adinyah and Corsival are half sisters, sharing a father who's a republic sympathizer stuck on an imperial world. The only way he managed to avoid being shipped to Korriban was by earning the favor of Adinyah's mother, so without the sith half of the family, Corsival (the younger of the two) wouldn't even exist, let alone have had the chance to get to Tython, but on the other hand, there are some serious downsides to having a powerful sith sibling poking their nose into your business all the time. Like that one time that Adinyah got Corsival possessed. That was fun. Adinyah has very little living family, so she's very motivated to bring Corsival over to the dark side. Her mother was a darth, but not a very strong one. She's dead by the time the game comes around. She also had an uncle who wasn't force sensitive, but his sister killed him. Family is a big 'future' thing for Adinyah. Meanwhile, Corsival wishes it would go away so she could be a good jedi, but is also slightly intrigued by the idea of having a sister.
They both probably project weird family issues on their crew too. Crazy force users.
Stabby: So apparently I won a car last night? Strikes: Wow, you must have been really drunk.
(Karagga's Palace Story Mode fun times.)
