Dark Horse, in collaboration with Avatar Studios and Avatar: The Last Airbender co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are releasing a tale following the Kyoshi Warriors as they leave Kyoshi Island to join the war against the Fire Nation. Avatar: The Last Airbender - Kyoshi Warriors hails from writer Brandon Hoáng, artists BellBessa and Xanthe Bouma, colorist Adele Matera, and letterer Jimmy Betancourt from Comiccraft.

"Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors leave their island home to join the war against the Fire Nation. Met with suspicion and resentment by the mainlanders, they struggle to prove their worth to the Earth Kingdom. But when that opportunity arises, will they be willing to compromise their values as Kyoshi Warriors to embrace it?"

Dark Horse and Avatar Studios has announced a new Avatar: The Last Airbender comic following Azula. Avatar: The Last Airbender - Azula in the Spirit Temple hails from Faith Erin Hicks, Peter Wartman, and Adele Matera. The team is joined by letterer Jimmy Betancourt.

“Azula continues her destabilization campaign against the Fire Nation and her brother, Fire Lord Zuko. But after a failed attack on her latest target, Azula finds herself in a mysterious forest temple inhabited by a solitary monk. What first seems like a place to safely pass the night is quickly revealed to be something horrifyingly different. Azula is forced to confront her past and will finally face her chance at redemption…but will she take it?” (Dark Horse)

Avatar: The Last Airbender - Azula in the Spirit Temple, featuring cover art by Wartman and Matera, goes on sale in bookstores on September 26, 2023, and comic shops on September 27, 2023.

Dark Horse Comics has announced a spin-off graphic novel focusing on Avatar: The Last Airbender’s Toph. The Last Airbender - Toph Beifong’s Metalbending Academy comes to us from writer Faith Erin Hicks, artist Peter Wartman, and colorist Adele Matera with collaboration from Avatar: The Last Airbender series writer Tim Hedrick. 

Things are looking good for the Beifong Metalbending Academy, if a bit dull after all of Toph’s earlier adventures. “Luckily, Sokka and Suki come to visit and reintroduce some familiar faces from their wandering days. And while out and about to celebrate, Toph discovers something that just might put the spring back in her step.” (Dark Horse Comics)

Avatar: The Last Airbender’s Suki is getting her own graphic novel from Faith Erin Hicks, Peter Wartman, colorist Adele Matera, and letterer ComiCraft, in consultation with series writer Tim Henrick.

Suki Alone is set during Suki’s time imprisoned in Boiling Rock. “Separated from Team Avatar and her Kyoshi Warrior sisters, she decides to build her own community among other prisoners. But it’s going to take more than an encouraging word to build trust among so many frightened people. Suki will need to draw on all her resources to do it, and even that might not be enough.” Dark Horse Comics)
