YALL. Addy Walker was the first American Girl doll I ever received when I was a little girl. (I have Samantha too) I misplaced my Addy doll but I still have Samantha. Addy meant so much to me because she looks like me. In the 90s, she was the only Black doll American Girl sold (they were selling maybe 10 dolls back then) so you can imagine my devastation when I read it was only a matter of time before they were archiving Addy. You KNOW my black behind ran up in American Girl Place to find her before they got rid of her, and she was the only old school doll still there! I wept maybe 5-7 times in the store.
