alas the thing about m9 ep5 is that i'm spoiled by how good the caleb widogast origins comic is

#it's a pros and cons ep for me for sure. although the ending was spectacular #they pull some visuals straight off those pages too- the residuum chair for one #frumpkin in the window for another #also i loved all the GERMAN!!!!!!!#it speaks #m9 spoilers #adding:#i want to be clear that most of my tepid misgivings are about how little space there is for astrid and wulf - and #really ONLY because i find the portrayal of that relationship in the comic so profoundly excellent #they focused on caleb's own struggle here which i can understand. and honestly it's truer to his actual monologue to beau #whereas the origins tale is very much about the three of them and the necessity of that love as an anchor #even as it was inescapably twisted through with unspeakable abuse #for ALL of them #the aforementioned pros of this version go crazy hard though let me get that straight. omg #again. my glasses are very rosy #trying to be done yapping cause the ep is really very good #blumendrei as a part of this story - and caleb's start to finish arc are tremendously close to my heart #and have really held my hand through the vast and terrible darkness. as it were #so you know.

The most unbelievable aspect of Leverage is that anyone finds Nate attractive.

#he’s a sleazy oily man #nothing smooth or alluring about him #sometimes it almost stresses my suspension of disbelief to the breaking point #leverage #adding:#I don’t want to start any petty fights but I very much mean he unattractive in personality #Timothy Hutton isn’t my type in any decade but that’s beside the point #Nate Ford carries himself like a peering condescending sleaze #he has a savior complex and anger issues and a superiority complex and it’s like the writers wanted him OP’d #yes sometimes Nate Ford can be smoothing or soothing or comforting or encouraging but it is rare #and in those moments I see why his team trusts him #and he is clever so I get why they rely on him #it makes him a good leader #but it does not make him an attractive man #*leering not peering #mercy there are typos galore #mine
