Draco was clutching his arm with his shirt- it was bleeding through the fabric. It stung and ached in a way that he didnt want to acknowledge. He was resigned to his suffering- the clicking of the lock made him shudder. he wanted to go back to his room and pretend that this wasnt happening. 

that his father wasnt being corrupted by the dark lord, by the pressure and torment that voldemort was applying to the malfoy family, and the world- too. The way that the tormenting, humiliation, and pressure was breaking lucius wasn’t something he had wanted to think about. Thinking of how Lucius was being affected and changed made him think of how lucius used to be, before voldemorts return- and that made everything worst.

Draco looked up at Runis’ action- and a smile tugged at his face. The flames, and the confidence. it soothed some of the turmoil he was experiencing. 

Lucius’ reply was well controlled- his anger flickered at his expression, though. “You aren’t worth the dirt that covers you.” Lucius hissed at Runis. “That mark on your arm is disgraced by you.” He hissed, yanking his robes to cover himself better. “Tell him yourself, you-you- pathetic excuse of existence.” he hissed, cruelly, before storming off. 

Draco laughed. it was hard, and shook his aching form- but he couldnt help it. his father had been so upset by the other- so callous- that he laughed. Then, that turned to him cupping his mouth and trying not to cry. “fuck-”
