I know that having anon on is a safe space for most people, and It's really sad when bloggers have to turn it off or close the inbox. I wish people would be better humans. There's so much shit going on on the world, and bullying/harassing others shouldn't even be on someone's list.
When we can't feel comfortable or safe to express ourselves, that's saying something. Everyone has the right to express themselves and defend themselves.
I think you're so confident and self-aware. You've worked through things, so you're better at expressing and handling them. You're intelligent and pretty. You have genuine readers who may have become irl friends. You have people who get you and sometimes people can be threatened by something or someone who has shaken them, their beliefs or their life in a way they deem 'wrong', 'bad', disgusting etc, so they lash out and rally others to do the same because they don't know how to handle the chaos you caused for/to them.
We all really need to learn to lift up and encourage each other instead of tearing one another down. Instead of doing good, positive things, like spreading kindness, paying it forward, and boosting someone's spirit, they prefer causing destruction or damage to help them feel better.
Wanting to be mean, ugly, and confrontational, but not wanting to actually have a mature discussion about things is baffling.
Sorry for the long ass rant that no one will probably read, but for those who do, I hope you take something away from it.
I feel that people are waiting for you to turn on anon again so they can have a field day being miserable. Please only do it if you feel it's the right thing and time.
everyone please read this. thank you so much. the only reason i want to turn it back on is because then, people will speak to me again. they don't want to expose their blogs when requesting something, and that's okay, but i also think it's really telling of shame but that's another conversation for another day. i think everything has died down for now, later today i'll turn it back on but if people start to get stupid again, it's going back off.
