I use meditative shielding techniques , mostly white light . I also use my practice and some spells I've developed to reinforce those and cleanse .While learning control you can also carry stones to help , Obsidian and Amethyst , are a couple you can try . It's not easy, I've had to adjust my entire life to learn to live with it , but once you get into the habit of using shields , things get much more bearable .~walk in light
