The Savannah Cotton Exchange Building in Savannah, #Georgia. The building was completed in 1887 when Savannah ranked first as a cotton seaport on the Atlantic and second in the world. The building was designed by #Boston #architect William Gibbons Preston. The building is now occupied by Solomon's Lodge #1, F. & A. M., which was established in 1734 and is the oldest continuously operating English constituted #lodge of Freemasons in the western hemisphere. Inside the Bell Labs building (now @bellworks) in Holmdel, #NewJersey, which has been the site of countless advances in science and technology since its completion in 1961. The building was designed by architect Eero Saarinen. The five-story, 2 million-square-foot glass-encased structure is actually four buildings in one, connected by perimeter walkways and centered around a massive, 100,000-square-foot atrium.
