Another praiseworthy alumni were awarded last 10th day of February at Adamson University SV Building 2:30 pm. Ms. Carmencita Morena, one of the Board Director of Alumni Association, gave a short welcoming address followed by Ms. Berlinda Romero, AUAAI Secretary whom delivered an inspiring message, and Fr. Gregorio L. Banaga, Jr., CM, , University President, stated, “I was asked to have an inspirational talk but I came here to be inspired. You are the reason why we are proud.” He denotes,” Youth today need models and they need to be inspired not by throwing them the book but because they are very visual and audio oriented that’s why we have their pictures here because they serve as our inspirations.” The highlight of the event uncovering our two Featured Alumni for the month of February are Mrs. Maria Nilda M. Muñoz and Engr. Santiago S. Lim. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Batch 1969, proud USA Inventor of Monoclonal Antibodies directed against Human Group V Phospholipase A2 (May 8, 2000) : ARCH (Patent) Development Corporation, University of Chicago and up to present Director in Research Management Office Associate Professor of Medicine at St. Luke’s College of Medicine, she is Mrs. Maria Nilda M. Muñoz. As to her inspirational speech, “Learn not to be late.”, her advocacy was shared to us students.From her speech, she continued to elaborate her previous experiences and one of her remarkable realization,”I have to do something for myself ‘ cause I’m getting old.” And she prepared herself by ‘opening the book and study’, she qouted. Became a Charter Organizer and Member, from one of the most Outsanding Alumnus Enterpreneurship of Adamson University(2007), a Former President and Adviser of Adamson University Chemical Engineering Alumni Association (2007-2012), and many more achievements up to becoming influential Founder, current President and CEO of Strawberry Foods Corporation. A proud Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering batch ’85, Engr. Santiago S. Lim. As he stated,”What I have now is the good workings of Adamson University... “ and he ended his speech saying,”Adamsonians, be a catalyst for change.” As the program ended, AUAAI President Mr. Rodel Vizconde settled a enthusiastic messagefor all Adamsonians,”Soar High Falcons!”

ONE OF THE TALLEST CHRISTMAS TREES IN MANILA.  The alumni-sponsored 50ft Christmas tree was lit this evening at the SV Facade.
