I mean, I have parts of the game’s story written out but it’s fragmented and written as if you’re reading text from boxes. Which may be helpful in the far off future when I get to adding the text but now it’s just confusing since I keep forgetting what has already happened and what event am I trying to develop the story of the game to. Plus as I try to build upon certain characters I feel myself stuck in this cookie cutter, one trick pony, I’m only good for one single moment in the plot then I’m gone forever type character that once I have my developmental arc moments they become a piece of cardboard that is forgotten about or become too useful to where every problem is solved by me.

I’m going to go all the way to the beginning and write it as if i was writing a story for a semester long class, but without the pressures of classmates having to read through a billion rough drafts.

Context: memory time, origin of the nicknames and a small bit of backstory for two characters.

A and B are nicknames, “Person _” is full first name for reference.

B: Hey, Person A… May I ask you something

A: What’s up Person B?

B:Can I… stay by your side from now on?

B:: My biological father left us the other day…

A: Of course man, we’ve been inseparable since daycare.

A: Just lean on me if you need support, you don’t gotta shoulder this alone B.

B: B-B?

A:Yeah, it might be painful to be called by your full first name so until it stops I’ll call you B.

Characters are finally being fleshed out, I’m fucking excited. I accidentally cut the shit out of my thumb with a xacto knife because I had gotten an idea for another cutscene that I needed to write down ASAP.

Also finally got a name for the organization: Adam Core.

Your protagonist also has a name: Dani Wujrell.

Just need to get an art style down for the sprites, backgrounds I can do easily with reference photos.

Story is getting ironed out, prologue is done for now unless I feel like something should change.
