  Weather is now officially cold. Winter weather warnings/advisories already posted.

  Day before yesterday I actually felt good. I was so glad I was getting better. HA. Yesterday I went for coffee at Ad Astra Books and Coffee House. Just opened last monday. Very nice!! Books, coffee, tea, pastries. Great atmosphere for conversation with friends. And while I loved it there, talking and eating drove my throat crazy. I had 3 coughing spells there. Embarrassing to say the least.

  Today I woke up early and got up. I never coughed over nite. I was extra tired so I laid down on the soffa after breakfast and slept until 130pm. No coughing. Then I made a phone call. Coughed ever since.

  I was supposed to go to see Jenn and Ava tomorrow. I called Jenn to cancel. I am not up to a 2 hour drive. And no need to sit there and cough. I also am not attending my Swedish group. No need to go and sit or stand and cough my head off.

  Supposed to go on a bus trip on saturday. Soo looking forward to it. Going first to Denmark KS to view over 100 nativities in a church there. Then to the church in Ada KS for a Swedish Christmas smörgåsbord. But the forecast is for ice on friday and snow on saturday. Sounds like we may not go. I do not want to be in a bus on icy roads. That is my Christmas celebration. I will miss it. Maybe things won’t be as bad as forecast. Or they could be worse. This is Kansas, after all.

New coffee shop in Salina, Ad Astra Books and Coffee House. Great atmosphere, cool books to buy, and wonderful pastries to enjoy with coffee or tea.
