An Apocalypse Challenge - Game-play Story Mix 

So this project is kind of gonna be a work in progress as I’m kind of writing it for my own style of play rather than following any guidelines that may have already been in place for this kind of thing. Basically Freja be “living off the land” and once a week I’m going to do like a random scenario from a list I’m cultivating of survival situations she’ll have to deal with.  The formatting will be the same as my history challenge with small bits of story supporting gameplay in organized batches. For now I’m manually posting but I’ll start queuing once I have more than a day’s worth of posts built up in my drafts.

It was late afternoon by the time Freja had finished most of her tasks for the day. At times it was hard to keep motivated to go out and collect the few things she knew she could find nearby but it was necessary to sustain her fairly comfortable lifestyle. It was just hard because there was always that risk that someone might come upon her outside the relative safety of the small compound. She wasn’t naive enough to think being there even helped her that much, even Tidus had admitted their location was quite exposed and anyone along the top sides of the canyon would have a clear view of their home. 

GIDEON held his breath as he threw a small handful of dirt at the old rickety fence upon approach, without a flinch he watched as small sparks flew from the twisted wires as sand met metal. At face value the place seemed a bit too run down to be inhabited but having seen that little girl wander in there he didn’t want to assume it wasn’t protected in some way. It had been a couple days since he had originally spotted her picking at some unfamiliar green at the edge of the canyon. He had hoped that maybe she’d lead him to a decent size settlement where he could stock up on supplies, or maybe find a permanent place to call home. The more he had watched her though, the more she just seemed alone.
