hi, nien here from a while back!! i just wanted to say thank you for the reading, you really gave me a lot of food for thought. i'll do my best to be mindful of the advice going forward.
you also inspired me to get started with tarot myself. i just did an interview spread with my first deck, and it absolutely read me to filth, hahahah. i can't wait to see where it brings me!
Hello Nien, thank you for returning with feedback! I'm glad the reading gave you food for thought and also inspired you to pick up tarot! It's very fun to get dragged for filth by a deck of cards. Let me know if you need any resources, I've read a few books and have a few tags of info that I think could be interesting or helpful to look through!
I wish you the best going forward!

hello jasper!! i hope you're doing well.
my nickname is nien, my pronouns are she/they.
the question i have is: what should i do after graduation in order to avoid getting stuck in life?
i am finishing my bachelor's degree this summer, but i have no real idea of where to go from there. i'm planning on taking a gap year to figure out what i want and hopefully land a job, but i'm scared i'll get stuck because i tend to struggle with motivating myself to do things... so i was hoping for some tarot advice on what kind of direction to go in.
thank you in advance if you decide to take this one!! have a great day either way :)
Hello Nien, thank you for your patience for me to get to this reading! I have been in MTG hell, it's great.
For your reading I am using the Alleyman’s Tarot, a deck made of cards and artwork from a vast number of artists and historical images. Due to the size of this deck (195 cards), I have it split into a Majors deck and a Minors deck, so you are guaranteed two cards.
Your cards are the Traitor reversed (courtesy of the BnF from Le grand Etteilla), the Devil upright (by Finsterwalds and Lenny Magner) as a jumping card, and the Page of Pentacles upright (by Eli Norvell).
Let's break this down in the direction of how I drew them, shall we? Let's start with the Traitor. This is a card that speaks for itself, with no difference in meaning upright or reversed - someone is going to betray you. Whether they intended to from the start or not is the only thing up for debate, but ultimately, something you are relying on will likely be falling through.
The Devil, though, is something to discuss. This Devil is the bleeding heart, the one who chases passion and passion alone to the point where we hurt another by accident. Its self-placement before the Traitor means that it leads into this. If you pursue your own hunger thoughtlessly, you will hurt someone else, regardless of if you mean to or not.
But hey, then we have the Page of Pentacles upright. This is a card indicating the first steps into material stability - friends, items, money, or otherwise. These steps are about laying ground, developing a plan, setting up future prospects, and spotting the possibility ahead. This is a hopeful card. It tells you to look ahead before you put down roots.
In total, this reading is telling you a tale as old as time - becoming too focused on what you want and what you have going on will make future prospects a lot harder for you. Your best choices come from getting the advice of those you trust and not pinholing yourself into a plan without seeing all of your options.
I hope this helps in some way, Nien. If you feel so inclined, please feel free to send feedback in my ask box, leave feedback in a reblog of this reading, and/or reblog my reading guidelines!
