❝ huh? ❞ luffy didn't quite catch what was said, between rubbing at bleary eyes and releasing a wide yawn. yes, the straw hat captain slept later than usual, but bandaged and battered body refused to allow him to rise any earlier — or at all during the past two days. he had finally managed to rouse himself from the infirmary bed and into a pair of pants and one of his vests at least.

the dark-haired man's lips smack together softly as lingering sleepiness fades and he blinks back at the cook, expression mostly blank. it takes a moment or two, but the delayed response of his eyes lighting up and the reality of how long he slept finally hits.

❝ wait!! i didn't miss breakfast did i??! ❞

   “  oh,  you  didn’t   have t  …  “    the sentence  dies   in  holly’s  throat  as  her  thickly - mascaraed   eyes  looked  down   at  the  various  treasures.   for a  moment,    holly simply  stares  –    raises  her  fingers  to  pick  through  them  a  little  bit;     the  snapple  bottle  cap  that  reflected  a tad in the  sunlight,  a  blue-purple-gray  pigeon  feather,    what  looked  like  a  grape   gumball  ….        and in just a   moment,     a  big  smile is  pulling  her   black - stained  lips  upward.

           “Your lack of faith is disappointing,” she says, not bothering to get down from the ledge she was currently balancing on. Digger can walk on the ground, but she’ll take the more fun ( and more dangerous due to the current weather conditions ) route on the ledge.
