Bruin is an OC for the universe of the 'gunntech pj masks au' by Elmushterri ^^

[basic info]:  Bru's pronouns are He/him.

He is bisexual and a transgender man.

At the beginning of his arc He is 22, being 2 and a half years older than Aj.

He is Columbian-Canadian.

He is 177 cm tall.

He has black hair and dark skin.

He was born February 26th. [He is a pisces]

He has brown eyes.

Bru was born in the central east of canada and lived there for several years until the death of his mother (from chronic illness) and him and his father moved to the U.S to find a higher paying job as the Canadian job market at the time was not working in their favor. Bru's father shortly after the move, met and fell in love with a local veterinarian; Anna Rivera. The two soon got married and moved in together, giving some solace in both their children- Aj and Bru.

AJ was very young at the time and Bru quickly became a sort of guardian figure for them, especially when he learned they were enrolled in a biological advancement program known as gunntech. Apparently, their father had put them in the program for financial aid for their family, but Anna and him had several major disagreements about this which resulted her in decided to remove him from Aj's and her own life for their safety.

Bru wasn't quite aware of what was going on at gunntech at first, just that they were doing weird experiments to Aj that would result in them coming home in tears and crying at the edge of his beg while they complained about how much their chest hurt.

This of course scared Bru, his younger sibling was seemingly going through an abundance of pain and having weird technology tried on them with no explanation, so he requested to join beside them. To offer them guidance and support when things felt pretty impossible for them to handle. And so he did.

When Bru first joined the gunntech recruit program, he already had disdain for the entire system- but he decided not to show it as to both not upset Aj more than they already were, and for his own well-being.

After a little while, mostly nights of being examined in a way that made Bru feel very exposed and violated for the sake of 'science', they decided to give him an actual implant.

This implant, unlike Aj's which was a small robin, a scouting animal- a prey animal- was a bear. A brown bear. And unlike Aj, his experiment was successful. Thus he was known as ursa major, eventually being changed to just 'Ursus'.

Unfortunately, in hopes of staying close to AJ to keep them safe- he was driven further away from them as the researchers of gunntech continued to 'enhance' him. He was designed to be the opposite of AJ. He was a soldier. 

When given his suit, at first it was just an ordinary brown power suit with light armor placed over it- it eventually changed into a light steel armour suit resembling more or less that of a medieval knight. This was because unlike most of gunntech's experiments, he didn't need to be quick or sneaky or flexible. He just needed to be strong and durable. While others were built to truly fight, he was built to eliminate a cause quickly without injury. He didn't need to chase anyone, he was a bulldozer.

Somehow, he managed to grow further and further from Aj until they only saw each other on rare occasions. Aj was in an entirely different category, they weren't even allowed in the public often. Bru was one of the more front line people, he was used to show just how good they were at their jobs (though he didn't doubt there were many failed experiments of his kind before him).

Bru was not meant to be a soldier, but no one there was. No one deserves this, to have their childhoods stripped bare from them like this.. so maybe it was a good thing he didn't have to see how it ended. Maybe it's a good thing he didn't make it to 25.
